May 9, 2025 at 10:04 AM but again, what's that got to do with anything? you made this thread to talk about potential collabs Em could do this year. if all you're going to say is there is no fire then what other purpose for discussion is there for you in this thread? my point this entire time is that fire or not, I want more collabs between Em & Abel since all we got is the one from 10 years ago
May 9, 2025 at 1:23 PM Not only it doesn’t seen possible right now but they also wouldn’t top the one we have. I kinda want it, but I don’t think It’s gonna happen.
May 9, 2025 at 1:41 PM I don't care if it wouldn't top The Hills remix (there's literally no way to know if that's a fact and it's also subjective), I just want more collaborations between the two of them. as I pointed out, it's the only one, while they both have worked with several of the same artists multiple more times. Abel is active in the music industry, so why doesn't it seem possible?
May 9, 2025 at 2:14 PM Cause Em's not lol. Em is into weird collabs lately other than Nas. I don't see him working with other great artists, we will see. Maybe Wayne if we're lucky, but Em doesn't seem to be a part of the album. Recovery Em, like I said, was way better for these type of features. He was really good at hooks, singing and rapping, bridges. That`s why that was his last mainstream huge era.
May 9, 2025 at 3:07 PM okay, but you said it doesn't seem possible. what you went on to explain here is that it's certainly possible, but Em is specifically choosing not to hit Abel up. this has nothing to do with how good or bad he is with features. it's about literally contacting Abel Tesfaye to work on a project together
May 9, 2025 at 3:33 PM Em's not social anymore, he barely works with artists and only a very few put him on their projects. I wouldn't be surprised if some songs are just not making the cut. He used to k--- features, now some are bad or forgettable.
May 9, 2025 at 9:15 PM Shady Records is a boutique label. They aren’t mainstream anymore. I can understand someone not liking Boogies voice but he is far better to listen to than Kendrick!! I have my own issues with Kendrick and the blatant inspiration he took from Eminem.
May 9, 2025 at 9:27 PM Shady is a label owned by the biggest rapper that signs underground rappers. It’s impossible they made any money off of Grip’s album lol they probably lost a good bunch of money.
May 10, 2025 at 10:28 AM I can't argue any of that..I am confident they lost money with Grip's album too haha. Them even claiming the label is "boutique" is probably only because of the failures they had ever since Slaughterhouse. They could've had somewhat continued success if they didn't make poor decisions after 2010. The label had potential but squandered it unfortunately.
May 10, 2025 at 12:28 PM They should stick to merch tbh, at least people pay for it unlike these bums albums
