May 11, 2025 at 7:29 PM Are you saying you’re trying to stick your whole hand inside of her and fist her? That might be a bit much dude
May 11, 2025 at 9:49 PM Wow we finally get a good post Joel episode. This season has been very flat overall so far up until now. Even the beginning of this episode I was like wtf where's the action. The Dina background story, the stalkers surrounding them, and Jesse saving the day. Scars...Nora scene. Loved the subtle nod to the game too, with Ellie going prone to avoid the dog. And we're finally getting an unhinged Ellie. Looks like we're getting a flashback episode for next week
May 11, 2025 at 10:00 PM Good episode but it could’ve been better! Episode 3 still remains the weakest of the season. They addressed some of my concerns in this episode, such as Joel not being mentioned enough. We are finally seeing some aggression from Ellie. I gotta say though it’s funny how they made a big deal about spores not being in the show in season 1 only to just bring them back in season 2 anyway lol everyone thought they would find a way around the spores but nope. I like the world building in this episode where they give more backstory to these WLF soldiers. It makes everything feel more real and fleshed out rather than just being a story. I am starting to see some pacing issues again though… Spoiler One big highlight for me this episode, as people could probably guess, is Isabela Merced’s performance. Her scene explaining her first k--- was emotional and how it got connected to Joel was great, I think this will motivate Ellie even more. Dina in this show is definitely more of a fighter than in the game, she was more than willing to keep going with Ellie on her journey until she got shot in the leg with an arrow by a Seraphite. This is honestly making game Dina look very bland in comparison. The way they handled Jesse’s appearance, fighting the Seraphites for the first time, and getting Ellie alone at the hospital was definitely different than the game. This is where the pacing issues I mentioned come into play. It really seems like they’re rushing through this s---. They don’t even show how Ellie gets in the hospital really, she just sorta crawls through a hole or whatever. Some of these sections they are skipping over I kinda wanted to see in the show, like when Jesse and Ellie drove away from enemies and eventually crashed in the water. I feel like that sort of cinematic was a given to be in the show but I guess not unless they somehow put it in later. As for the ending, I like that we got to see Ellie hitting Nora. It’s a bit different from the game in that way. Although I wish the scene was a bit more brutal, I think we really should’ve seen Ellie torturing Nora. It didn’t feel as impactful as it did in the game tbh. Then right at the very end we get a flashback to Joel waking up Ellie, so this means episode 6 will be Ellie’s and Joel’s trip to the museum so we should be in for a great episode there.
May 11, 2025 at 10:05 PM Spoiler Unless the finale is from Abbys POV I guess they really are splitting the "Seattle Days" per season which I wasn't really expecting since they gave up who Abby was in the first 10 seconds of this season. That may mean they'll have to rush to their initial confrontation
May 11, 2025 at 10:20 PM Spoiler True. The way things were going I thought they would switch between Ellie’s and Abby’s POVs throughout the season but it looks like they are still kinda doing it like the game did. I’m a little worried about how all of Ellie’s and Abby’s confrontations will go. Those are scenes they definitely don’t wanna mess up.
May 11, 2025 at 11:01 PM They aren’t lmao they’re the opposite. Ellie & Dina are the lovers Absolutely, but I’d recommend playing Part 1 first.
May 11, 2025 at 11:07 PM Gonna get on my PS5 and play this week. I know some of the story cuz I use to watch YouTube video gamers play throughs back in the day. I just remember the main girl looks like Ellen page from Juno. You Gen Z midgets probably don’t remember it tho.
May 11, 2025 at 11:47 PM d---, I really am getting old. My espresso’s gone cold and I’m wondering why
May 11, 2025 at 11:54 PM Only 2 episodes left this season, d--- it’s gone by fast! Once all the episodes are out I think I might rewatch the season
May 12, 2025 at 2:43 PM So another episode where Isabella is acting way better than Bella and why is Lev all grown and they call it Nora?
May 12, 2025 at 3:43 PM Good episode but the main story and Dina/Ellie relationship is just not working for me, mainly due to the writing for them. I hope this proves that the world, lore and characters is what is great about the Last Of Us at this point . A new last of us game and series with new characters should be their way forward if they ever want to continue the story. Lot of interesting stories they can tell.
