Apr 29, 2025 Yeah the music videos for this era s----d. They felt cheap and rushed. He wasn’t even in the Anitta one. I guess he wanted more focus on this movie. For his sake I hope it’s worth it.
Apr 29, 2025 Really doubt it. I would like this album even more with some nice cool videos like he used to have
May 9, 2025 at 4:22 PM not feeling it Good album, awful era. And we still getting an unnecesary movie
May 13, 2025 at 6:08 AM Relistening to AOTY Wake Me Up - 10/10 Cry For Me - 10/10 Sao Paulo - 5/10 and I'm being generous Baptized In Fear - 10/10 Open Hearts - 10/10 Reflections Laughing - 7/10 bit slow Enjoy The Show - 8/10. Time for new features. Given Up On Me - 8/10 I Can't Wait To Get There - 8/10. Should have been longer. Timeless - 6/10. The album would have been perfect without this and Sao Paulo. This is the second time Carti ruins a Weeknd song and the remix made it even worse somehow. Niagara Falls - 10/10 Take Me Back To L.A. - 10/10 Big Sleep - This isn't really a song, more like an outro. Sounds good. Could live without it tho. Give Me Mercy - 10/10 bomboclat!!! Drive - 10/10 The Abyss - 7/10 Red Terror - 5/10 I feel like these last songs are songs to play in the back during the movie more than songs for an album... Without a Warning - 10/10 Hurry Up Tomorrow - 10/10 Remove the 3 weak songs and it's an amazing album and also a bit shorter Good luck to other artists trying to top this album this year AOTY on lock.
May 13, 2025 at 8:46 AM I forgot to comment on the Doechii remix. It’s okay but I’d rather just listen to the original. I like Doechii’s last album but this Timeless instrumental wasn’t a good fit for her. Not bad though, she did her thing
May 14, 2025 at 3:52 PM I keep thinking he made up the whole movie thing just to smash Jenna, can't blame him tho.
May 14, 2025 at 4:25 PM Most of the time Jenna has 2 kinds of roles: Weird, crazy, quirky, outcast girl (like Wednesday) Girl who gets felt up by some dude the whole time (I don’t know how people actually watch this s---) This movie seems like it might be a combination of both of her main roles.
May 14, 2025 at 10:14 PM Solid 6/10 movie. Here’s my letterboxd review: Didn’t hate this movie, but didn’t necessarily love it. I rarely say this with movies, but it could’ve benefitted from having another 30 minutes just expanding on more stuff or if the plot was him overcoming the mental block with the help of Jenna’s character. It set up so perfectly for it to be about him overcoming that mental block just for it to be a “crazy fan” story. Considering that part was based on a true event, I really thought it would be a story more based around that. But hey, what do I know? Not sure if casual audiences who aren’t fans of The Weeknd or know much about him would enjoy this. Can’t wait to sing my heart out August 12th at the tour tho
May 14, 2025 at 11:39 PM I will say, the movie got me hyped for the tour and has me listening to the album again so it got its wins there lmfao
