But at least this means MCU versions will stick to the script and not try to mess with the formula

Thank f---, but yeah signing a deal halfway through filming is ridiculous. This is what I’m scared of, because now they gotta work Spider-Man into the script and might have to reshoot stuff he would’ve been in if he had signed on before filming yadda yadda

Just saying DC’s model is a much better strat, no filming or green lighting until they have a solid script. Saying “much better strat” when it should be the norm is ridiculous

Yeah It’s typical Russo brothers tho. Spider-Man originally wasn’t gonna be in civil war until late in the process of making it. Also Infinity war and endgame were notoriously messy and last minute scripting if you remember. Marvel famously created the trend of altering entire sequences last second. Like how Hulk was originally gonna be hulking out in infinity war in Wakanda but they changed it in post and made him only in the hulkbuster armor. Fans thought that the trailers were digitally altered but they actually just refilled those scenes twice. In endgame the iconic portal scene wasn’t actually gonna happen, but last minute they made that choice late in the filming process. And then of course modern marvel where nearly every project has reshoots and additional photography. MCU has been very lucky. Most times it works out, sometimes it’s a mess. That’s the problem with recent films like Eternals and Multiverse of madness having too many cooks in the kitchen. But yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me if marvel and sony were fumbling around. Lmfao. Marvel has been way to reactionary, instead of having faith in a script and singular direction they try to please way too many conflicting sides of the audience. But yeah having Spider-man is gonna secure an additional Half billion. Movie is gonna be a success regardless just for having RDJ back and X-men nostalgia anyways
