NFL draft tonight. Actually excited for this one. Curious to see the Steelers draft plan and where some players go.

You think Sheduer falls to them and do they take him if he does?

I won’t lie, I was worried when it was their pick. Instead of reaching on pickett a few years ago, they could have took a top qb this year. Although I’m not too informed on the defensive player they got either. I was kind of hoping taking Ohio’s rb if one would slide through the 2nd but didn’t happen.

I figured Sanders would fall unless someone really wanted to reach. I dont think he has an nfl ready mindset or has a good enough nfl arm.

Yeah. They s---. This thread would have been popping yesterday, if I could have bannered it right before the draft. Get some hype and discussion going and would have made it well discussed on here. You should let me banner again. I’m a different person than back then too.

^ since the steelers haven't taken a QB, it seems even more likely that aaron rodgers will be their guy. the mother of the steelers first round pick passed away the night he was drafted. that's a sad story.

vikings used their first-round pick on a guard. i don't know much about the guy but at least we addressed the interior line. it's been a big weakness for years.

Yeah it’s sad. Hopefully he ends up being good.

Sanders ends up going to the Browns lol I was kind of surprised when no one took him in the 4th round, a few teams late 3rd. He does seem like a huge headache, especially if it’s true he was actually listing down nfl teams he didn’t want to be drafted what a arrogant person

i'm not sure why Sanders slide so far. even if he was listing teams he didn't want to be drafted by, that's not a big deal at all. i seriously doubt teams are gonna pass on a player for something as minor as that.

do you want steelers to sign rodgers or no?

Sanders will be a big flop. I’d put money on it. There’s obvious things highly paid scouts didn’t like with him. If he was elite enough as AB with some questions on their attitude, someone still would have taken a risk earlier.

I wanted Rodgers for a year or 2, especially when Steelers still had Pickens. That would have gave Rodgers a big double threat. Hopefully one they drafted or get later will end up being a legit threat. I’ll still take take Rodgers for one year over anyone they had the past 3-4 years. If Rodgers starts playing too many mind games, I’d make it clear they’re just starting Rudolph. Idc who played for the Jets, you’re set up for failure there. You can’t do much without a good line. But one report I read Rodgers shook some Steelers managers hand for not drafting Sanders. I want a nfl card of him in a Steelers jersey pretty bad tbh lol

that's fine if you think Sanders will be a flop. i'm not saying he'll be good. that's not the issue here. i'm just confused as to why you think he "seems like a huge headache" when he has no off the field issues--and he doesn't have a reputation for being a team nuisance or anything like that. you make it sound like he's some problem child athlete lol

my buddy loves the steelers and he doesn't want you guys to sign rodgers. he thinks you have a better chance with mason rudolph and that surprises me. with rodgers, there's at least a chance he has a little left in the tank. with rudolph, you know he's going to be average or bad.

lol he’s a complete arrogant, cocky prick. Just watch him on random interviews on YouTube. I never said he was a problem child like Manziel. His dad made things a lot worse before the draft. Just admit you think there’s some “conspiracy” why he didn’t go sooner. My point was if he had mad potential like AB, Hernandez, a team wouldn’t have cared and risked him earlier on. It was reported multiple scouts compared him to Daniel Jones, and his stock dropped even more. Those scouts make way more than us. His arm isn’t near as good as Lawrence’s or Burrows were at his age, for example. I bet browns still have a losing record with him. Want to bet?

Most people I know personally don’t like Rodgers for some reason. Those Steeler fans saying start Rudolph are stuck in the 70s. You need a qb who can be clutch to make it anywhere in the playoffs. I know Rodgers has at least another shot to make some noise with the Steelers. I like how Rudolph will take risks throwing, and he’s not scared to take a hit. Just not sure he’s a qb you would want for a playoff run. I want Tomlin gone to be able to feel like a true Steelers fan again. So many fans do too. He had years to find Ben’s prospect. Steeler fans don’t care about going to the wild card every year just to lose and know they are. Steelers are known as a superbowl team.
