James Gunn is right. Fiege and Gunn are both comicbook nerds to the core, and friendly competition will only benefit both. It keep marvel on thier toes, and have DC something to aspire to to catch up to the 20 year mark marvel made on superhero cinema. Both taking a W this year would only benefit avengers doomsday. Which is vital to not just suphero discourse, but Hollywood in general. People gotta stop acting like Marvel didn’t literally hard carry theaters during the pandemic, and have been a cornerstone to Hollywood profits for the last 15 years. That’s $30B in less time then Hollywood ever has in 100 years to put in perspective.
