Jun 7, 2025 at 11:25 AM When it comes to movies, double features typically play 2 movies after one another, that usually have something in common, like an actor, plot element, genre, etc. Aside from records that are sequels to each other like the Carter or Blueprint series, I think that the following "double features" are pretty cool. I tried to focus on records that either have similar vibes, style, or influence for the most part. I also added a non rap example near the end just for fun. 1. Public Enemy -It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back + NWA - Straight Outta Compton 2. Kanye West - 808's & Heartbreak + Drake - So Far Gone 3. The Weeknd - House of Balloons + Drake - Take Care 4. Eminem - The Slim Shady LP + Dr. Dre - 2001 5. JAY-Z - 4:44 + Jay Electronica - A Written Testimony 6. The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds + The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band I think this is a bit of a fun concept, so I'd like to hear y'all's suggestions!!!
Jun 7, 2025 at 11:33 AM Relapse was supposed to be a Double album. I’m the King of Concepts. My 3 Album run eclipses every other rapper. Slim Shady LP, MMLP, The Eminem Show gave me a 3-Peate. That’s why they call me the Micheal Jordan of rapping. Jay Z could never
Jun 7, 2025 at 11:35 AM I know that I said I wouldn't include albums that are sequels to each other, but I think that Relapse and Recovery work pretty well as semi-double album, since they're so different from one another
