Jul 4, 2025 at 10:49 AM Guacamole flow switch and the next switch at the end was insane. And the writing is great. Feeling mixed about the vocals though. The layered ones actually aren’t too bad imo, they aren’t fully AI and they have texture. They sound good in nice speakers/headphones, not so much through a phone speaker. But I can see why people are getting tired of the gimmick. Especially at the end where the beat and flow are great, that blatant AI filter is a bit much and takes me out of it more than it helps. Ethically I think there’s nothing wrong with an artist modifying their vocals, even with AI, if it’s trained off their own material. But sonically.. I’m not sure it’s quite there yet. will be going back to this song overall though.
Jul 4, 2025 at 11:03 AM This makes me appreciate Nas even more, Eminem is such a gimmick rapper now. He's the Carrot Top of rap.
Jul 4, 2025 at 11:44 AM This is his best verse in years, literally miles better than anything on his last album
Jul 4, 2025 at 11:54 AM It’s always interesting to see how wildly opinions can vary on new Eminem. You got people calling it his best verse in years, you got people calling it terrible, etc. I think it’s an incredible verse. I say this as someone who has been trashing Eminem’s features for years now. I normally don’t like Eminem’s faster raps, but it works here for me. Normally it sounds bad to my ears but here it sounds good to me. I know some people aren’t gonna like the use of AI but if I’m being completely honest modern Eminem’s voice kinda sucks most of the time so I prefer this but also hope it doesn’t get overused. This verse is also packed with bars that aren’t cringey for once.
Jul 4, 2025 at 12:34 PM Gimmick? My whole career is a stroke of genius. Slim shady had middle America looking like my penis. Up in arms, and harder to subpoena. So if you wanna sue me, you better bring a witness. Diva to you midgets, heartless veteran, I just rhymed the whole f---ing sentence and you missed It, like John Cena. Idiots, Blindness is a virus and I don’t need a chorus to murder a versus.
Jul 4, 2025 at 12:41 PM The original vocals are actually really decent. Somehow he sounds younger than he did on MMLP2 and that was well over a decade ago.
Jul 4, 2025 at 1:02 PM This verse is incredible. And his writing is a lot better. Less puns, just sharp... sharp as a f---ing knife, jesus.
Jul 4, 2025 at 1:19 PM Sounds so much more pleasurable with this AI. Hope he sticks to it fully going forward
Jul 4, 2025 at 1:55 PM He's sounding a lot closer to the hardcore emcee he used to be than he has in ages. I would prefer it if he slowed it down a bit but in fairness it must be admitted that this new updated "Shady" supersonic style is in another stratosphere than the rappity rap claptrap he was constantly shi--ing out pre-DoSS. It's like the Chad version of Parables, Speedom etc. I'll gladly take it.
