Jul 13, 2025 at 8:05 PM It was pretty good! Not my favorite from them but it's not from and the album and was for an AEW wrestler and with that context it works pretty well. Vocals were mixed a little different and I like the way they usually do it more
Jul 14, 2025 at 3:47 AM I’ll probably give the Clipse album one or two more listens before I drop my review. I mean, it’s only Monday. But d--- I just wanna say it’s amazing that these guys are still rapping at such a high level.
Jul 14, 2025 at 7:22 PM Clipse - Let God Sort 'Em Out This was a long time coming, huh? I remember when It's Almost Dry came out, and I thought "new Clipse coming soon right?". Then I saw that "Chains and Whips" was previewed at a 2023 LV show, and I thought "new Clipse coming soon right? But eventually, after 16 years, coke rap's best duo (Sorry Rae and Ghost ) is BACK. Aside from the leaked version of "Chains and Whips", I decided to avoid most of the singles/snippets for this record so that I could go in blind. Lyrics wise, Push is great as expected. But Malice...dear God. I might have to check out his Christian rap records at this point because d--- is he still amazing. "The Birds Don't Sing" is a great way to start off the album. I definitely didn't expect the record to start with a song dedicated to the duo's deceased parents, but d--- does it leave an impression. "Chains and Whips" is still as great as it was back in 23, and Kendrick kills his feature as expected. The duo kills it on "P.O.V." but Tyler really surprised me. I've been very open about not really enjoying CHROMAKOPIA too much, but he absolutely killed his verse on here. "So Be It" is an all time classic. That beat is f---ing incredible, and the brothers sound absolutely venomous on this song, especially that Travis diss at the end by Push. This might be an unpopular opinion, but "Ace Trumpets" is my least favorite song on the record. Push & Malice k--- it, but the beat is very mixed for me. "All Things Considered" has some great verses, but what the h--- was Pharell thinking with the hook. It would be fine, but that autotune sounds awful in my opinion. It doesn't ruin the song or anything, but it's a very strange choice. "M.T.B.T.T.F."... Need I say more? "F.I.C.O." is dope, and it's always great seeing Ab-Liva on a Clipse album (I just wish Sandman and Rosco P. Goldchain were here too). The last 3 tracks do well at wrapping the project up. I guess I might as well discuss "So Be It, Pt. II", which has the same killer verses with some decent [albeit inferior] production. As a reunion record, I'd say that this is a great showing from the duo. I wouldn't say that its We Got It From Here..Thank You 4 Your Service level, but it's definitely a great showing, and an incredible return for Malice. I don't really have too many critiques honestly. I do think that I do prefer the first half more, at least as of now, but I can't wait to keep revisiting this in the future. FAVORITE TRACKS: Chains & Whips, So Be It, M.T.B.T.T.F., F.I.C.O Rating: 8/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
