Jul 17, 2025 at 11:33 PM Sorry to say but Drake died back in may of last year. Is this like a posthumous album or something?
Jul 17, 2025 at 11:44 PM Yeah apparently Drake had recorded enough material for a bunch more albums before he died. I guess it’s kind of a Juice WRLD situation where he recorded so much music that the label is gonna keep milking him for years while he’s dead. I suppose this is UMG’s ultimate revenge against Drake for trying to sue them. I heard the reason the album is called Iceman is because they are allegedly storing his carcass in an ice chamber with hopes of one day having the technology to revive him.
Jul 18, 2025 at 3:26 AM Yeah, I think we should do it since we did it for his opps. We’ve been doing the biggest rap releases, and this is definitely gonna be one of the biggest ones people are talking about. Besides, I think the people who hated Carti will at least probably like the Drake album more lol. Of course we could just do a vote like we did before lol I certainly won’t be upset if we don’t do it but I think it will be entertaining to do it. Even though I hate Drake, I can still give it a fair review just like I did with his previous tape with PartyNextDoor. I even gave him leniency. I’ve liked plenty of his music in the past. I think the album will at least have some songs I like. I thought his last solo album For All The Dogs was like a 6/10. Pretty mid to above mid album but there was a bunch of songs I did like

Jul 18, 2025 at 3:29 AM @Michael Myers youre up to post your album this Sunday Youve been mia latley, are you alive?
Jul 18, 2025 at 3:29 AM We could always do a vote too if anyone disagrees lol. He’s trying to promote it as a summer album so it should be here by August unless he pushes it back
Jul 18, 2025 at 3:34 AM He’s been gone for like 3 weeks, and I don’t see him active on Discord either. We might have to skip him for now and/or save him for later
Jul 18, 2025 at 2:10 PM @Jimmy Jazz indie rock picks might've helped me find a greater appreciation for the softer side of rock. Anyway, came across this album on AOTY and it’s been a great find. The whole album’s solid, but this track is incredible.
Jul 18, 2025 at 2:21 PM Love built to spill so much man; Had one of his songs on a mixtape I posted here. Great find and impeccable taste!!
Jul 18, 2025 at 2:29 PM s--- I meant to post it in Last Album thread. But yea, man. Great album. Gonna check out the other album, Perfect from Now On. ''And you've become What you thought was dumb A fraction of the sum Yeah, you've become Yeah, you have become A fraction of the sum''
Jul 18, 2025 at 2:32 PM Perfect from now on is probably my favorite but it does get a lil too introspective at times… perfect winter, rainy day music lol.
Jul 18, 2025 at 3:22 PM Looks like Spotify is starting to promote AI bands. There's one called Velvet Sundown that's made by AI and still gets lots of listeners. It's kind of crazy to think Spotify can make its own music and keep all the revenue generated from it. The AI is probably trained on the work of real artists too. Likely thousands of bands, without their consent or royalties going their way. We need a law that requires anything made by AI to be clearly labeled before it gets too evolved.
