Aug 1, 2025 at 1:38 AM If my counting is right (and assuming MM drops out completely bringing us to 9 members) another round of albums + 2 more rounds of tapes already brings us to the week of Feb 8th…Jesus lol

I like the singers voice, but im bored as f--- by about midway through the long a--- songs. I dunno, I feel like this could be decent if the songs weren't so f---ing long.... Ive tried not to really hate any albums you guys have picked but this one did it for me I didnt like any of these songs, to be honest I hated them lol Score: 2/10 @AOTWClub

Aug 2, 2025 at 3:46 PM Fat Freddy's Drop - Based on a True Story This is the first time since like, the Bright Eyes album, where I've had absolutely no idea about what I'd be getting into. All I knew about this record's sound stemmed solely from the RateYourMusic genre list, so I didn't know what to expect from a Pop Reggae/Dub album from a New Zealand seven-piece. First off, "Ernie" caught me really offguard. There's this Kanye leak from 2018 called "Chakras" that sampled this song apparently (the intros are literally identical), so I legitimately thought that I had downloaded a Yandhi comp with the wrong album name for a second lmao I'm not the best at describing what I like about albums instrumental-wise, but I liked the sound a lot. I felt it was very relaxing and groovy, although I do agree with JT's point about some of the songs feeling a bit too long. I think all of the members of FFD do a very good job, and the singer has a really nice voice. Even though I found most of the album enjoyable, I also didn't really connect with it fully. Like, I find a lot of the songs to be really nice-sounding, but as a whole album experience, I feel like it didn't really land for me. Still, I want to thank @Allis Mines for the pick, and yeah Favorites: Ernie, This Room, Roady Rating: 6.5/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
