Aug 26, 2025 I gotta say @Omar Little those “WHOA OHHHH”’s during the hook definitely sound like modern Eminem to me.
Aug 26, 2025 I have no doubt, the beginning of the hook is old him I think but the "and I have no privacy" plus the "whoa ooooh" were recorded recently, I've been told by someone here that Turth Hurts was supposed to be on it but I guess she didn't make the cut and was replaced by "cat being ran over" (a la Space Bound or Venom) Em rather than Prime Em, It's not a big deal to me though, I got used to it and I started to like it on replays lol
Aug 26, 2025 I like the track My only gripe is it made me get nostalgic and run back his 2000-2001 era in my music collection of his. Something about his flow, layering, voice, and just unique creative choices on songs back then really made him stand out. He literally was just talking s--- and making it rhyme with a chorus in between. Lol. But, yeah. I replayed that song to death. I would have enjoyed if his layered the chorus, and then added the “Criminal” sample when he gets to that point in the hook. Like a DJ scratch then “CRIMINAL!” Besides that, I love the song. I get why people are mad but, it’s really not that serious. From 2018-2024 we’ve been fed A LOT. Lol Give it time. New s--- is probably coming in 2026 or early 2027
Aug 26, 2025 The "I always feel like somebody's watching me" and "I have no privacy" back to back feel like listening to "say goodbye hollywood" and "phenomenal" at the same time (in a good way) cause of the contrast in the voices if you really pay attention
Aug 26, 2025 The song is ok. It’s always nice to hear some prime Eminem. I wouldn’t really put it better than any of his verses from TES or MMLP though. It kinda reminds me a little bit of the Lose Yourself demo. You can tell much of the verses (especially the first) are random lines from his notebook put together. That being said, I’ll still take it over 99.99% of everything he’s released from 2008 onwards. surprised nobody has mentioned the “woah woah” part at the end of the chorus. That definitely sounds like post-hiatus Eminem. I think he’s added that part in somewhere along the line and maybe even tuned his original chorus vocals a little bit. I’m disappointed that’s all they’re giving the fans though. Where are all the little pieces of instrumentals that were scattered throughout the film? They were the most “Eminem sounding” bits of music I’ve heard in years, I was expecting them to show up as the “score”.
Aug 26, 2025 For all we know he did the guide vocal for Truth Hurts and just kept that in this version. As for the other songs. Why is sampling the issue? Surely it's a case of asking the artist or label or who owns the sample yes or no. They might ask to hear the song but surely a decision can be made fairly quickly.
Aug 26, 2025 Also, who remember Joe Strange aka Dope Edit coming on here acting like he has heard the song and told everyone it’s called “camera”. I called him out for lying at the time and now I’m being proved right, I also accused him of making up other s--- he didn’t know about like Beautiful being started in 2002(something like that) and other ludicrous claims he made about old songs. He obviously had inside info but you could easily see he was just making a lot of s--- up to fan the flames.
Aug 26, 2025 He obviously did have over 300 songs and was in an important position. This is a Dre song from 2001 and he said they didn't start archiving things till 2003 so it's a possible a ton of stuff recorded prior to 2003 and with Dre really wasn't available to him. He probably heard loads of things that weren't kept on those studio hard drives.
Aug 26, 2025 Didn’t he also claim at one point that ELAM was made by Steve King specifically for the Kiss skit? Lol
Aug 26, 2025 idk it seems crazy to announce a song (let alone 2) before you even know you CAN release them
Aug 26, 2025 Need to bring back those simple dre/eminem beats from the early 2000s The crisp of the drums and bass line from that era was top notch. Then the vocals stand out so much more.
