Jan 8, 2026 at 11:48 PM It's crazy to me that Godzilla has more streams than The Monster. I guess Godzilla released right in the peak of the streaming era but man The Monster was on every radio station back then
Jan 9, 2026 at 3:38 AM That beat on Guilty Conscience 2 always gives me that early dark SSLP/MMLP feel. Reminds me a bit of Go To Sleep too. Crazy production. I think it's one of the very few modern Em beats that actually capture that feeling again
Jan 9, 2026 at 7:19 AM Why would it help me it's known you used to be a coke head you even admitted the s--- lmao
Jan 9, 2026 at 7:35 AM The only Em beat on TDOSS I don't feel at all. It's also produced together with Fredwreck. On the other hand, I like what he did with Fredwreck on Animals Pt 1. I think they could've made so much more with it or changed it. It's not slightly on par with anything from SSLP/MMLP. The lyrics are funny, though. The track is mid at best for me. But with the whole album, I can still say, great album—probably his best since Encore for me. I hope the next album will be a step above again.
Jan 9, 2026 at 7:40 AM The Monster had a lot of radio play back then. Streaming didn’t pick up and peak until 2017. Godzilla is a massive smash, people just don’t realize it. But to Gen Z it’s one of Eminem’s biggest songs.
Jan 9, 2026 at 8:41 AM if you removed till i collapse, mockingbird and godzilla from em’s discography, gen z would forget about him in a matter of minutes
Jan 9, 2026 at 9:14 AM funny how life works. There was a time he had the world by the balls eating out his palm. He was in rotation at every radio station.
Jan 9, 2026 at 11:47 AM What about the Mom’s Spaghetti song? Or the one where I told Chris Kirkpatrick he can get his assed kicked? Or when they tried to cancel over Love the way I lie. All I did was ignite a b---- and rhyme
Jan 9, 2026 at 12:05 PM I like the line I've been diabolical with this dialogue from Legacy, but I don't think Eminem knows what a dialogue is. How is his rapping a dialogue, except on My Darling?
Jan 9, 2026 at 12:10 PM great songs but, and this was my original point, if you ask pretty much any gen z/a, to delete one set of 3 songs to from their spotify, they’d delete lose yourself, without me and love the way you lie before till i collapse, mockingbird and godzilla. what that tells me is that they prefer raw stadium energy, emotional melodrama and trap vibes over oscar bait, socioeconomic/geopolitical satire and domestic abuse awareness
Jan 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM I have an important observation to make. In Demon Inside and Role Model, references Eminem makes on Norman Bates include hitting the mother with the shovel. But the shovel does not make an appearance until Psycho 2. This makes me wonder has Eminem seen the original Psycho, or just the sequel?
Jan 9, 2026 at 2:16 PM It isn't. But nobody cares because in rap you can get away with straight up misusing words. They can be made to mean whatever the rapper wants, and oftentimes the intended meaning isn't even clear. In the rap world the most important thing is for a word to rhyme. If it doesn't quite fit or make sense if you think about it too much, you still get the idea. It's a "metaphor" LOL. I mean, it rhymes bro, so who cares? It's pretty stupid.
