Jan 10, 2026 at 8:27 PM B.rabit climbs to the top. Poppa doc never raps again after losing his battle to b rabbit. And gets obsessed by b.rabbits talent and starts to stalk him. In the end killing b.rabit and leaking his unreleased songs. And the unreleased songs could be the soundtrack to the movie.
Jan 10, 2026 at 8:34 PM i would pay literally any amount of money to see robert plant’s face when he heard this and told paul to take a hike i like this, reminds me of how they released those dr dre songs by “leaking” them in gta
Jan 10, 2026 at 8:37 PM I actually came across it today and totally forgot about it. Not great but could of easily replaced WTP on recovery.
Jan 10, 2026 at 8:41 PM Yeah and the entire movie you don't know who the stan actually is. Until the end when poppa doc breaks into . Rabbits house to k--- him and get his music. Then it could do like flash backs of poppa doc in the crowd at all his shows and all that. And he's just fueld by jealousy but star struck at the same time.
Jan 10, 2026 at 8:45 PM i’m sorry and fly away sound so surreal to me. not quite relapse, not quite recovery. they just exist in this little sort of twilight zone in the middle. proto-recovery? like ridaz or the accent version of despicable. i love listening to songs from this period, there’s just sumn so raw and emotional about them. wish more would leak/release/somehow he made public this is great haha they could do it like bad guy where you think it’s kim right until you realize it’s matthew. the whole time you think it’s just some random stan then it’s revealed it’s been doc the whole time D=
Jan 10, 2026 at 8:59 PM You think it's a girl writing him love letters the entire time but turns out to be poppa doc lol
Jan 10, 2026 at 9:00 PM Like when eminem reads the letters its a girl's voice in his head reading them....
Jan 10, 2026 at 9:12 PM this is like how the end of the river video reveals that the girl is rap. it’s insane at the end where it cuts to that clip of em talking to ed and you realize he’s been talking about music the whole time then it cuts to em with sarati, just as people were thinking she and em were dating cuz of that leaked bts video. what a crazy moment. a reveal like that would be so cool
Jan 11, 2026 at 8:17 AM yepp that’s the one. on certain lines like “better not letup better not let them breathe” you can hear him still kinda trying to decide how much of the accent to use. pretty cool i swear you’re more r-----ed every day. wdym satire? it’s literally just a description of the last 10 seconds of the river video. f---ing spaz
Jan 11, 2026 at 8:28 AM Thanks for this. What Steve King did here reminds of me an old mastering trick from the 80s (but still gets used to this day) in which engineers/producers would raise the pitch/key of the master tack of the song and speed it up slightly to give it more of a “feel”. Some examples of the top of my head where it works really well are Oasis - Live Forever Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World Michael Jackson - Billie Jean there’s been hundreds over the years that have done this and most you can’t even really tell unless it’s pointed out. The difference with King and Lose Yourself though, is that it seems King did it with the instrumental only, not the vocals? The others I pointed out were done to the master track which included the final vocals. But from what I can tell it doesn’t seem like Ems vocals have been pitched up along with the piano/guitar on lose yourself, so I’m guessing Steve only did it to those instruments then build the rest of the song and sounds around the new higher key (like telling Resto to play in the key of D). Another side note, does anybody else think he did this on Say GoodBye To Hollywood too? I’ve always thought Ems vocals sounded a little higher than usual on that, but I could be wrong. thoughts on all this @BelieveInMe @crazybeats @Godlys @CeyCey
Jan 11, 2026 at 9:35 AM bro the whole track is a dialog with ed, ending with “and what this song means to me is…”
