Jan 19, 2026 at 3:21 PM Why does Spend Some Time have to be about anyone? I always assume its made up generic woman
Jan 19, 2026 at 3:42 PM @John Lennons Ghost @Big Monkey earlier today I stated that Eminem's verse on Whats the Difference sucks. I assume its prime Eminem for you? Its a s-----y verse. s-----y proclamation of love to Dre, s-----y long boring imagery of driving Kim around dead, s-----y everything. One of his worst verses ever. I dont think it even rhymes.
Jan 19, 2026 at 3:53 PM Prime-Inem is Summer 2000-Dec 2002. So it would qualify as pre Prime-Inem in my eyes. It does exactly what is was supposed to do. Introduce Slim Shady to the wider masses (Dre’s black audience specifically). It’s not as if he was gonna do some deep personal stuff on a Dre album feature. He could only really do the “Slim Shady” character. And I think the verse is fine from that perspective. Good delivery, decent lines. I wouldn’t say it’s bad. Calling it one of his worst verse ever is just another Spatch-ism I’m gonna choose to ignore. I think Forgot About Dre is much better. In the grand scheme of overall music I’d give What’s The Difference a 6.5 out of 10, mostly due to the beat and quotable chorus.
Jan 19, 2026 at 4:06 PM i’m at my best when i’m at my worst and for that i’m blessed so every time i rap i curse and that’s why press i usually be attacked by first they’re at my neck like motherfuckin vampires
Jan 19, 2026 at 4:47 PM The delivery and voice are not quite prime Eminem to me. It's in some transitional phase somewhere between SSLP and most of MMLP. A very good verse, but it's never been one of my favorites. If I Get Locked Up and Bad Influence, which also aren't quite MMLP to my ear, have much better verses that would have been much more effective as rage fodder against me. And now it's too late because I already know what you're up to.
Jan 19, 2026 at 5:10 PM Its an odd choice to have Insane on Relapse but not Antichrist, which was worked on a lot.
Jan 19, 2026 at 5:16 PM And I'm curious about there having been a Batman audio comic book inspired album. We hear snippets in Rap God, Evil Twin, Groundhog Day. It seems there was a theme at some point which sounds infinitely more interesting than MMLP2 "concept"
Jan 19, 2026 at 5:20 PM My first ever memory of Relapse was downloading it on Bit Torrent when it leaked and thinking “why is “Beautiful” the only song that sounds like Eminem?” I also remember watching the first ever live premier of the We Made You music video on Chanel 4 (UK) and thinking “wow he looks old”. And “why is wearing baggy bootcut jeans with Air Max trainers?”
Jan 19, 2026 at 5:28 PM My first memory of Relapse is listening to the leaked album late at night, like 3 AM literally, and going to sleep with heavy impressions of Insane and Underground, like he went too far and left a bad taste in my mouth. I didnt even register other songs, they all sounded the same, and at first I didnt like the album. I thought nothing stood out. Little did I know.
Jan 19, 2026 at 6:40 PM That video aired and I remember being like holy s--- he's back. I got online and the entire internet was throwing a fit about it.
Jan 19, 2026 at 6:42 PM It what will never make sense to me is the 4 year gaps why he didnt put out a lost tapes here and there. I mean he's dropped 3 surprise albums. All he has to do these days is upload it to streaming services.
Jan 19, 2026 at 6:45 PM Antichrist was made for the 2005 album that got scrapped. I think the reason we got that and brand new dance on tdoss was because he wanted to sound younger. The younger he sounds the more "slim shady" he sounds
