Mar 17, 2026 at 1:25 AM @Justin Trudeau Sorry everyone been busy with a new job, but put me in for a 9 for Hunger for More. Listened to it a few times this week, and that old G Unit s--- just had a different sound to it.
Mar 17, 2026 at 12:05 PM Guys, wanted to come in here and let y’all know that I’ve been having some beef with my now ex landlord which resulted in me having to spend the last few weeks looking for a new place… starting with the whole process of moving next week and that’s why I haven’t really been posting or reviewing much lately. Will try to make it up when I’m able to but it could be better for the club if you removed me from the schedule till I’m settled in. Will come back as soon as I can.
Mar 17, 2026 at 10:01 PM @Justin Trudeau i’m going to be tallying CSW’s tape tomorrow since it’s been about three weeks. We only have 4 reviews in for the Allis tape, so should i tally that one up too?
Mar 17, 2026 at 11:22 PM Youre not up for like a month anyways ill keep it as is for now! Can make a last minute change if needed
Mar 18, 2026 at 12:57 AM @Justin Trudeau @AOTWClub Lloyd Banks - The Hunger For More Excited to get back to albums and don't know much about Lloyd so happy to get into this one! Ain't No Click is a a good opener, these old G-Unit adjacent rap projects love this style of production with these instrumental stabs. Banks and Yayo both slide well over this, sounds comfortable. Hook aint bad, pretty catchy. Playboy is pretty hard, like the hook, Banks goes hard. I can see the beat getting boring or annoying but it actually worked for me on my listen. Very theatrical with the stadium vibe but enjoyable I really like Warrior idk if it was a single or not but it has that kinda vibe to it, super catchy. Flows are super smooth and the production is great. Haven't talked about the lyrics cause nothing is super crazy so far for the kinda music that was being made at the time but it works well for the lane hes in. On Fire is cool, very obvious Em prod. Also gives single vibes. Doesn't do as much for me as Warrior but still solid! I Get High is great, just a good vibe. Fun lines, Snoops verse is smooth as h---. You can really hear where Tyler got a lot of his mannerisms in his delivery for this era, he sounds pretty similar to Lloyd imo. One of my favorites so far! Timbaland was a f---ing cheat code dude I love I'm So Fly, Lloyds verses are equally funny and hard. He glides over this prod and the hook is immaculate. Love the delivery on cadence on the last verse. Work Magic grew on me, at first it felt like going through the motions but theres some hard a--- lines that bring it back for me. Just super solid gangster rap If You So Gangsta is cool, not the most exemplary on the project but hard some hard bars that carry it for me. Lloyd Banks is really good at finding pockets so nothing is bad to me so far. Warrior Part 2 is also great, Em verse is super solid. Beat grew on me. Really really love the chorus but Nate Dogg is another cheat code. 50 does his thing here too. I'm so gay dude I actually really like Karma, the gangster rap attempts at love songs are always fun to me. Really catchy and love Banks' flow on here. Beat is super infectious. When The Chips Are Down is cool, The Game kinda carried it to me but the last verse Lloyd did is solid. Dig the sample in the chorus. Till The End is great, good concept, solid execution. Catchy while still being a storytelling track. Piano sounds great as a backdrop. One of the best songs on the tracklist for sure. Felt like the record was getting a wee bit repeitive for me but this pulled me back! Die One Day is also solid, like the funkier vibe it breaks it the vibe in a good way to the point where i wish a song or two like this showed up a little earlier for pacing reasons. Another decent concept that is also performed well. South Side Story is f---ing incredible, the writing is the best on the album and is super harrowing. Great closer. Best song on the album. Overall this is a solid project, I feel the same way I felt listening to 50 albums where there's nothing I dislike its just I wouldn't go back to it very often at all cause its never my exact vibe unless im in a very rare mood. Found a good amount of songs i enjoy here though and thats all i can ever ask for. Happy to have you back big dawg @Justin Trudeau Favorite Songs: Warrior, I Get High, Im So Fly Warrior Part 2, Karma, Til The End, South Side Story RATING 8/10
