If that movie came out any other year it would have flopped. Even suicide squad was a massive hit and it wasn’t cuz the movie was good. It’s just 2016-2019 literally anything superhero was gonna be loved and huge.

Carol taken as a Kree hostage, infected with Kree blood and forced to work for thier military, has amnesia about her life back home, is sent back to earth in the mid 90’s and regains her memories and how she gain extraordinary powers from one of the Infinity stones/Tesseract, then Joins Nick fury to stop an invasion of shapeshifting aliens. That story of identity is way more deep then Wonder Woman finding a random dude on her island and then tries to intervene in a world war without actually taking a side. Wonder Woman barely had a plot or character arc. Lmfao. Captain marvel is shot better, has better story, better universe building, and a well rounded cast of characters that actually do something for the plot. Just admit you think gal is hot. The story and her character ain’t what you care about. You sure as f--- don’t care about the movie. Name 1 scene you remember other than her deflecting a f---ing bullet. Carol stopped an entire air fleet by herself. That’s how you do a 3rd act action sequence.
