Nov 29, 2014 I feel like I had so many expectations when J. Cole first showed up on the rap scene; I've been fairly disappointed with his recent work, but the fact he announced this out of the blue and is dropping it so quickly has me hoping that this is totally an individually inspired effort.
Nov 29, 2014 Wet Dreams is FNL era, probably the only track I got high hopes for lol. Cole flopped twice already with TSS and BS so hopefully Jet is right and he turned it around.

Nov 29, 2014 Not really, I just own jcolenation.com so I'm current with his music. I haven't liked a Cole project since FNL. I stan Kendrick and Drake though.
Nov 29, 2014 I actually only got into Kendrick because of Buried Alive lol than I heard The Recipe and was like oh its that dude and discovered k.dot a few months before he really blew up. Drake's the man. I'm hoping him and Kendrick get elevated into GOAT status a after a couple more albums each. As for Cole, Im not a big fan, but I'm definitely going to check out his album.

Nov 30, 2014 Album wise, his singles are usually some of his best songs. No clue why he wouldn't spend a little time on one for this record. Also, the chop on one of the beats sounds a lot like DJ Premier.
