Dec 15, 2014 Aesop Rock - Skelethon (2012) Behold the rotting fruit of excommunication. Skelethon is the product of a slow transition for Aesop from rapper to slash producer. Keeping in step, he didn't recruit any of his Rhymesayer or Def Jux connections for features. The album's very composition reflects the introversion it professes. His production is brooding and industrial. His lyrics are more finely honed than ever before, no longer able to be mistaken for Jabberwockian nonsense. It's honestly a masterpiece. I could write a book on this album.
