Jan 11, 2015 By the way I finally got around to to trying the Quest Smores flavor. After being highly critical of Cookies and Cream I absolutely think it's their best bar to date. I was absolutely blown away.
Jan 12, 2015 S'mores took a few bars to grow on me, but I love them now. Up there in my top 3 with Peanut Butter and Cookie Dough
Jan 15, 2015 I like the taste of the Combat Crunch bars a lot. Nutritionally they don't touch Quest, but it's not going to be the worst thing you eat in a day 97% of the time anyway.
Jan 19, 2015 anybody have recommendations for a good casein protein? ima give that a shot, taking whey in the morning + post-workout, and casein at night for more of a slow burn.
Jan 19, 2015 I never have taken Casein Protein. But Optimum Nutrition would be good casein protein as there Why Protein is very good.
Jan 20, 2015 Hit a pretty big personal milestone today. My gym has dumbells that go up to 120lbs each and i was able to do a 5x5 flat bench with them. Pretty good feeling to progress all the way up the rack from doing 40lb dumbells 2 years ago
Jan 20, 2015 I only do Squats & RDL's mostly. Just today did squats 155kgx5 at 71kg. I also do weighted sit ups & pulls ups. I wonder if I done Bench Press would it help my Squat at all?
Jan 21, 2015 Hit a new max on deadlifts yesterday. I went for 4 plates, but only got it half way up. I always start with 1 plate on each side & add on more after each set.
Jan 25, 2015 I've started lifting a bit. Aiming for 2 workouts per week, full body workouts. Program is most of the times going to be bench press, deadlift, squats, chin-ups and some sort of stomach exercise. Goal is to mainly just become a bit stronger all-round and increase my muscle mass a bit. In terms of how much stronger... I'll be happy when I can lift 60kg 5x5 in bench press. So we're talking about a pretty low level here My question is if I should start with protein shakes or just continue my normal diet (which is relative healthy). It's not like I'm going to become the next Arnold, so not sure how much effect protein shakes would have (as in if I'm most likely already got enough protein in my food to reach the level I want without it taking 100 years)
Jan 25, 2015 I'd go with 3 full-b workouts per week and follow a good routine as well. Talking about protein, if you hit your daily macros without powder, I wouldn't spend money tbh. Eat a lot, lift heavy s--- and sleep like a baby, thats it What do you guys think is a good and cheap protein ? I am not talking about ON or some expensive brand.
Jan 25, 2015 Don't have time for that brah. Hard enough to get enough time for 2 between my 1-2 floorball training and 1-2 running training. Worked out 6 times this week. Was actually planning on 7, but a floorball traning got cancelled.
Jan 25, 2015 you should do more than 2 workout a week imo. at least 3 if you have the time to do it full body, or maybe the third time just doing 2 of your exercises. you won't really see any big results with just 2 times a week, but of course if 5x5 60kg is your goal that ain't the case
Jan 25, 2015 Followed all pro routine 3 times a week and did cardio on rest days. In 6 months managed to get rid of my belly fat. Now im skinny af and will lean B***. Gonna need to start eating hella lot more.
Jan 25, 2015 GJDM, always feels good to put a bit of extra weight on, especially a full plate, you will reach 180kg soon! Try it again next week, it's a lot about your mental state
Jan 25, 2015 It's 3 hours of your week brah [3 days], find a 24 hour gym and don't be a lazy fa---- Diet consistency is harder than finding the time to train imo
