    After reading the comments from the publicist, I believe @Koolo is right. The way he worded the statement implied that only the announcement was false and not the album

    Koolo is probably right because the statement he made was so generic.

    Anyone can say theres an album eminem is working on and then when it comes out a year or two later be like "i told ya"
    Unless the album is actaully called "roots" or theres some sort of dre/xzibit
    on it, i think whoever he got this info from lied to him

    Im not hating. I respect all hes done before and what he continues to do. Im not trying to take away his credibilty.

    All i said was that maybe he might not be completely correct on what he said. Hopefully he proves me wrong

    He never said the album would be announced at the Grammys, and the publicist didn't deny the album; just the announcement

    Roots is a working title fam, the likelihood of this coming to fruition is zero. I was told by @ODB J. Cole's first album was going to be called Tales From The Sidelines months before the release - when they actually dropped the title, it was called Sideline Story. That all happened within a month. This Eminem album doesn't even have a tentative release date, think about that. For all we know, this entire project can get scrapped and he'll start another one.

    @Koolo just shared information he received from a leaked email for the 100 people who browse this Eminem section. This thread spread outside of this forum, which was never the intention (or else I would have posted this info on the blog for hits) and some semi-credible site took credit for the info. Major publications started pushing the story and this all just got out of hand.

    I can personally guarantee you that this album will not still be called Roots upon release day. You n----s need to slow down.
