New Artist Section

    If there was gonna be a new artist section, who would you want it to be and why? Personally I think Chance the Rapper would be a good pick since he is gonna be a major part of Surf and a solo album from him is long overdue. Kanye would be a great addition as well since he is always coming out with music. Or just make "Kanye's label" section since everyone under his label is either long overdue or coming out with new music. Examples like Pusha-T, Big Sean, Cyhi the Prynce, or KiD CuDi. Or just a "New Artist" section would be pretty cool as well. That section could be about new and upcoming artists like Sydney in Theory.

    I understand Childish and Kanye has alot to offer discussion wise, but Chance is coming out with new s--- soon. And the new and upcoming artist section could be cool and it could provide new artists for people who have been listening to the same good s--- for awhile.

    Kanye is revered as a legend and has already released a single off his upcoming album

    Bino is on a whole nother level than most rappers, has released 2 projects the last 2 years, and is continuing to remain relevant whereas atm chance is a mix tape rapper who is arguably outshined by his contemporaries

    Chance makes accessible pop rap. He's the Young Thug to Kanye's Lil Wayne. I wouldn't call him that different than a "radio rapper" whatever that term is supposed to mean lol. Dude isn't active enough to warrant a section.

    I'd rather see a 90s or Golden Age rap section. A Gambino section would be cancerous.

    Outside of a Golden Age rap section, @Narsh and @WPG should both agree Young Thug is on trend. We can get out in front before he gets mainstream. Plus he's very active.

    Yeah, I see what you mean by saying that about Chance, the difference is that Chance has a very unique style that is for the most part his own style. His beats are very interesting as well. Not to mention his lyrics are very good. They're nowhere near Lupe or Kendrick, but he does have some legitimate lyrical talent. "I got the Chicago blues/we invented rock before the stones got through" thats just one example. Check out his song Dear Chicago Summer. That song has a lot of lyrical meaning and TONS of wordplay.
