Feb 28, 2015 Detroit Rap pioneer Esham challenges Eminem in an interview with Murder Master Music Showposted by UGS Radio today (February 27). "Tell Em to come on man, rap battle what?” Esham says in the interview. “Come on, what? Where ya at? I challenge." Esham became one of Detroit’s biggest independent artists in the ‘90s. His powerful and dark style known as “acid rap” helped influence the careers of Tech N9ne and Insane Clown Posse, among others. He says Eminem has been disrespecting the city of Detroit. "I am tired of Eminem,” Esham says in the interview. “I just want him to keep it real and quit being a b----. He f---in' sold a lotta people out in the city, man. He needs to stop disrespecting the city and making people hate Detroit even more. That's what that was about. Don't even say s--- about Detroit"" Esham points to recent Shady XV track “Detroit Vs. Everybody” as a moment were Em did not show proper respect for the city. "With the ‘Detroit Vs. Everybody’ don't say Detroit vs. everybody… you don’t help nobody in the city,” Esham says. “I don’t give a f---. I will say that. You got a radio station and nobody gets played on your station? Come on, B. Get the f--- outta here. You got 50 hundred million dollars and you ain't doing s---. Do something for the schools, anything, I don't wanna hear that s---. If you say something about Detroit, I'm gonna say something about you. Let somebody say something to me. I ain't gonna say s---. I ain't lyin' on that muthafucka.” Eminem is reportedly working on an album for 2015 called Roots. The link http://www.hiphopdx.com/m/index.php?s=news&id=32744
Feb 28, 2015 He inspired Eminem and ICP, Called Kid Rock Honkey. Didn't Eminem shout him out I'm a cross between Manson, Esham and Ozzy. But to me it doesn't change the fact he's jealous
Feb 28, 2015 ssatrams, esaelp hsilgnE kaepS Edit 1. I think Em still don't give a f--- but he should respond to shamE. Uhmm.
Feb 28, 2015 f--- this guy is intelligent lol joking aside i actually partially agree with this paragraph. Has em actually put any of his money to helping anything in detroit? poverty, schools etc. that would be showing the respect for his city like he claims to have.
Feb 28, 2015 Read here, he helped Detroit. https://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/eminem Are you looking him to be a sponsor kinda like Bill Gates? And shamE said that he made people hate Detroit. Pardon my French but thanks for him every Eminem's listeners know D and love it
Feb 28, 2015 i didnt know that. thats why i asked the question, has he put any money towards anything in detroit. now i know. props
Feb 28, 2015 ShamE is the one has long term beef to Em and D12 since JDGAF. He's a b---- though. Don't care people label him legend, f--- the s--- He inspired old Em 1%, he's a jealous MFer. Still don't know what he did for D but Em himself his popularity is a big label of D
Feb 28, 2015 You know someone sucks when there is a whole conversation regarding someone's impact on music and no one posts a song in an attempt to make his credibility valid.
Feb 28, 2015 It's funny. Most of you have no clue who Esham is, therefor don't even know the obvious influence he had on Eminem (WAYYYY more than the 1% @psychokid credits him for), but you're all real quick to defend Eminem without having any clue what you're taking about. Eminem plays the tough guy, and has been very vocal about people not mentioning his daughter in beefs. Esham did it. More than once. Guarantee Eminem has heard it. What did he do about it? Nothing. D12 and a bunch of other people jumped Esham and TNT, but Em wasn't involved. He tried to reconcile. Proof even worked with Esham on Trick Tricks album afterwards (So did Kid Rock). As far as what Esham has done for the city? First off he's not in the same financial place Eminem is. But, he is known for handing out thousands of turkeys to underprivileged families in the city throughout the holidays, as well as gifts for children, and things of that nature. Even that link posted about Eminem helping is bs. For one it's an organization that spans the U.S., not a Detroit thing. For two it's combined with a jacket embroidered with Eminem's logo that proceeds are donated to the charity. That's about promoting himself just as much as it is about helping the charity. d--- near every musician, athlete, actor, whatever has a charity in their name. Yeah, it's nice to do. But when your net worth is in the hundreds of millions, shouldn't there be a story of generosity about how you actually put YOUR money where your mouth is? Another of Esham's issues is that Eminem has his own radio station, and all this love for Detroit, but where is his promotion of local artists? He put King Gordy, and Miz Korona in his movie, that's about it. you can tell when Eminem has been put in his place, because he doesn't say s---. Royce dissed him, he didn't say s---. Esham has dissed him off and on for over a decade, hasn't said s---. Because Eminem knows that Esham has more respect in Detroit than he does. Eminem is older than Esham, but Esham had like 6/7 albums out already before Eminem put out SSLP, and has probably done another 10 or so since then. Esham has no reason to be jealous of Eminem, he did all of that without having a major distribution deal, and was a well known underground artist way before the digital age, pretty much relying on word of mouth.
