Wayne is garbage. His voice, his appearance, his subject material, all garbage.

Is it because he's not real hip-hop like Eminem, Hopsin and 2Pac?

does hip hop have to have beef to be exciting?

this is one of the most exciting years in hip hop from recent memory. drake releasing a project out of the blue, the hype the past few months surrounding kendrick and kanye, big sean releasing a solid project, joey bada$$ and lupe opening up the year with decent albums... and it's only the beginning of march

No, but it definitely makes it more exciting

    Pac vs biggie
    Nas vs Jay Z
    50 vs. Ja/Joe/Ross/Game etc.

Jay vs Drake could have been great but neither of them are real. I like Jay, but like 50 said, he avoids any real beef/confrontation

Same here. That's when rap was at its all-time worst for me. The Lil Wayne, T-Pain, auto tune era. 2008. I'd love to see another good beef by the way. I've got three of those Beef documentary DVDs. s--- is very interesting to me.

It was entertainment though. If I want to watch a fight I'd watch some UFC s---. This is hip hop. I want to see lyrical combat and dudes trying to earn that top spot.

I mean, if that's what entertains you, you could always watch battle rap, man. Hip-Hop is more of a political game.

Battle rap on the other hand is more akin to WWE professional wrestling.

    hip hop is boring?
I have barely listened to any music released this year but I'm still caught up in all the hype. it's not boring, there are plenty of rappers at the moment that are rumored to be dropping albums out of nowhere - So I could even argue it's one of the most exciting times because tomorrow we could wake up to a new album from someone.

The reason you think rap is at an all time low is because you listen to s--- artists like hopsin.

There have already been like eight great albums this year.
