your whole 'everyone-else-is-unreasonable' schtick is wearing thin. my opinion on this album has nothing to do with kendrick's fans or "reverb" or anything, i just think it's a really, really bad rap album. it's the worst parts of the lesser roots records, latter-day nas, and pale imitations of outkast. it's overwrought. it's trite. it's a bad, bad rap album. if you think i'm wrong--which you obviously do--so be it, but this isn't some calculated branding decision, it's just how the record reads to me.

My dad, who listens to strictly 70's and 80's music, said that These Walls was a good song, but it'd be better without the "talking" hahaha. (aka rapping) He just hates rap music.

I like most of the production on this album but it's just hard for me to like Kendrick, just not feeling this. I also can't stand his voice and his delivery is mostly weak imo. It's alright, I don't know, still trying to get into it more. Some of his verses are pretty good. I'll be curious to hear what people say in 6 months cuz it's becoming the normal thing for people to overreact big time to new albums.

Really don't like his crying on the last verse of u lol, doesn't even sound like crying, sounds like he has some kinda throat problem and can't speak properly. Game's start from scratch was much better to me.
