agree with koolo, plus Eminem's days are numbered, he won't still be releasing music when he's 50. he needs to give it his all, put out 1 more classic album and go out on top.

I hope so. Lets see how Drake will handle all this Kendrick Hype. He surely catch feelings after hearing the album with tears in his eyes. He have to step his game up on VFT6 to compete with K. Dot imo.

Every rapper from now on must be able to bring something new. if rappers end up repeating their content on their new albums without being innovative, TPAB will be held to a much higher standard

I'd love it if this was the case but I really don't see it happening. I was hoping that after we got good kid maad city, that we would see some more story based cinematic style projects but we didn't really did we? If someone does it now it will seem like they are biting kendrick and other rappers just won't do it for prides sake. I also think that the other artists don't have the ability to make something like this. Kendrick the only one treating rap like poetry.

I think other people can do cinematic albums, the issue here is whether they can do it creatively or not. Needless to say, a lot of rappers can't. Albums these days feel more like a compilation of tracks instead of a solid body of work. We need more artists willing to be creative, instead of playing it safe and giving the people what they want.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few albums that were in the early stages of being made got started over from scratch after hearing this.

Kendrick is already smashing records, he has proved you don't need to go pop to have an outstanding album and i hope other rappers notice this! He put out a funky rap album that stayed true to him and you can hear his soul screaming in some of the tracks, u being a perfect example, I want rap back, no autotune, pop bs and I think kendrick could be the one to bring it back to being just that, a competitive sport

Id hate to see another rapper try an bite Kendricks style if it doesn't work it will probably ruin their career. I'd rather have these guys just do their style whatever works for them works.

If anyone can do it, I'd put my money on Dre. He's already made his money so the focus of his album shouldn't/ wouldn't be to have bangers on it. Plus he's surrounded by an abundance of creative people including kendrick. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though.

Hopefully, I wouldn't be surprised if more rappers started using more jazz/neo-soul/funk production as well. People like Kdot tend to set trends.
