Rumor has it that "The Separation" is a concept album about how Ib swoops in on Melissa. Cole and Melissa then separate.

Cole's guitarist, Dave Lindberg, told me. I bumped into him at Tim Hortons and he gave me the scoop.

Alright fam, heres my experience. Spoiler alert if your going to a show soon dont read BUT GET A f---ing WRISTBAND IF THEY ARE GIVING THEM OUT.
warning: this s----s an essay

So first off, me and the homie showed up at 330, doors open at 7.
About 20 ppl or so in front of us so we ate.
They started scanning and patting(more like groping) ppl to speed up the process at the door.
OK, so they say if your under 21 get a purple wristband, if your gonna drink get the white miller lite band. so you know cole stans were woat and about 20 of us around me werent gonnna drink, therefore we dont have a band. THEY DIDNT SAY WE NEEDED ONE.
710 hits we start getting in, as me an the homie get to the door, they say put your wrists up? im like f--- dude...put your ticket up,i saw it coming,theres like 10-15 ppl pulled to the side
I was like this aint happening...they kept us on the side and let ppl behind us go instead of holding up the line. they were teling us like wheres yall bands?! dawg we were heated couple chicks talking mad s--- and i join then the white security guard pulls me aside that i need to calm down :spit: i said foh we waited 4-5 hours to be in the front! you gon put us in the front wtf let us go. about 5-10min of ppl passing us they held the line, shout out to a couple homies who stopped(cole fam) and said nah whats going on and let the situation get handled and not pass us in line. eventually we get in, we got lucky still get towards left side of the stage 2nd row like one 2 ppl in front of us so we were right there with clear view(shoulda been middle front though)

so that s--- was close to being an L
Omen spit that s--- and performed enchanted we lost it. Elephant Eyes tracks sounded goat #ConfirmedClassic
Cozz performed not much ppl knew his s--- though.
Bas was last and idk what song it was but he pointed to the crowd and nobody said the line he lost
then they performed we made it.

then the gawd came out, from the jump this s--- was live, the crowd hit another level when he came out. we went crazy on COLE THE GAWD when jan 28th hit.
midway through the album, he said let me take a break from the album, Lights Please dropped
holy s--- we went crazy, forgot what other hit he performed at that moment nobodys perfect and something else but then he got back to the album, fast forward gomd was live old a--- building floor felt like we were gonna break through and fall to the first floor. no role modelz....
after the song ended he kinda stopped got water and the crowd was just singing "she shallow, she shalllllowwww" dj dummy started hitting the keys and cole came back sat down and sang it with us the crowd was vibing man.
fast forward
gave another goat speech performed love yourz was done he said im j.cole love yall etc.

we kept chanting j.cole j.cole, he came back said let me perform 2 more then..performed cant get enough then crooked smile, but they kept his a--- on there, played the goat workout then ended on power trip.

then i met omen/cozz/bas but only got a pic with cozz and omen f--- bas

one of the greatest days of my life
album is 9.5/10 now (used to be 8/10 for me)

Really wish kendrick would've had rapped on the first beat of hood politics, one of the nicest mellow beats i've heard in a while. I can only see him doing that beat just not Cole or Drake. Though Cole would sound nice singing a hook on it.

s--- reminds me of when Cole came london. We was the first ones in queue literally, got there at like 8am. This was in December so it was mad cold, by around 12 me and my boys were about to die. Then this guard comes and gives us a wristband with our number and says we can come back when the doors are opening. We're happy af and go kick it inside a shoppin centre till 30 mins before the doors open. We walk to the front and some new guard says we have to go to the back since we hadnt been there since morning. We go ham on this guy, making a full blown scene and s---. After around 15 minutes we're put back in the front. s--- was a rollacoaster.

lmao this show is so woat, the vj stan in me had to watch though, yeah wtf was up with that. they skipped to the train scene fast, mtv f----- up with that, had no build up at all i was confused tbh i was like wtf her homie was there ready to send the mass text.
looks like theres gonna be another season but that was kinda woat finale. made sense that she wasn't kidnapped we coulda called it since the first episode if we woulda thought outside the box cause she was all mad at lindy cause she said dont chill with them dudes :sean:

I really can't find the appeal of Wet Dreamz ever being a single. If that's from Cole's camp someone really needs to slap some sense into Ib, Gomd & No Role Modelz are potential smashes.

Kendrick changing i the way he did for the album reminds me of what Cole could of done with Crooked Smile unless it was sample troubles smh.

Even though I haven't heard that record in a long time I think Crooked Smile was great for what it was especially on a more moody album like Born Sinner. Actually what K.Dot did for i reminded me of Common's Be where they included the live performance of The Food from Dave Chappelle's Show, f--- man I love this song peep DJ Dummy's scratches
