My Dad recommended this Miles Davis joint, pretty good listen if you like what you heard on TPAB

Yeah, I don't particularly care for the "wash your aaaaaass niggle" part on institutionalized. But otherwise I'm finding the album great.

Can't believe I didn't really like Hood Politics the first listen.... must be like how Company was off Drake's new mixtape. All of a sudden daaaaaamn this s--- bangs.

Skip, hop, drip, drop, flip, flop.

am I the only one that actually likes the crying voice? Love how Kendrick always switches up his voice.

You referring to the voice on U? If so yes, if the voice suits a purpose for the song then I do enjoy it.

"i" is still not, on its own, a good song, but the context really, really helps.

The version on the album, if it was whole and not overwhelmed by the skit it's leading towards, would be a great song imo. I love the slight changes in lyrics, the agression, the different hook, etc. Just changes the whole tone of the song for me

And the best part of the original is the last 2ish minutes, and we don't even get to hear that here :emoji_slight_frown:

Edit: also, the context helped me enjoy TBTB SO much more. I don't listen to it on its own, but almost look forward to the transition from complexion

Woah, Mortal Man just clicked for me. Not only did the song make more sense than ever but the poem clicked this time for me. It gave me chills

Kendricks ability to use his voice as an instrument, like really change tone, pitch and so forth is really dope.
