    gkmc is the album they wanted him to make....tpab is the album he wanted him to make....

    this is the way kendrick is going to jump off if you don't like it.

    the part of the post you deleted is the reason i think i enjoy it more at the moment. ive had longer to sit with it. i think TPAB is the better album. maybe that will change in the future (probably will. i can see yeezus being just as fresh as it is now in a few more years as well)

    it's more consistent. what makes gkmc work so well -- the cinematic experience, the theatrics of it all -- is also what hurts it in the end -- it fails to bring the film to close a resounding enough manner. maybe it went on for too long, but i think it's just that "real" and "compton" were poor choices to close the album. either way, it's not the perfect record everyone wants it to be.

    yeezus, on the other hand, will never publicly be looked at as even close to as consistent as gkmc because of how polarizing each track off the record is. Each song has its own experience with the listener. The listener and the music seem to grow with each other on this Kanye album..tracks like on sight, off-putting at first, became the explosive start that sets off the album right on subsequent listens.

    at this point, every track off yeezus works for me. it's concise, it's poignant with its internal struggle that expresses it self in a mess of sexual and emotional frustration. Its unapologetic, its raw, its kinda just awesome.

    Yeezus (my rating since like the first week it came out) is still 8.7/10. It may be higher now tbh.

    GKMC has gone from like a 9/10 to like a solid 8. Maybe a little higher. The difference isn't huge obviously, but I also personally like Yeezus more.

    I can see how someone could like GKMC more as a whole too though

    Lol Yeezus has 10 songs on it, To p---- a Butterfly has more good songs on it than yeezus has songs overall
