Reckless Skyline by Caitlin Canty - Always musically interesting, with every song sounding distinct while still flowing together well. Her voice is a work of art.

I think too many people focus purely on new music instead of discovering what they've missed over the years, so good on you. Pretty much 95% of the music I get into is actually old, but new to me. A few years ago I got into The Smiths. All of their albums are good.. but The Queen is Dead is a definite classic. Elliott Smith is another favorite of mine. For a few years I only had Either Or and XO, and liked them both a lot. Just recently I've started to get into Figure 8 and From a Basement on the Hill.

Some other artists I've been listening to a bunch over the past year or so that I hadn't listened to much before that are The Jayhawks, Matthew Sweet, Ryan Adams, Whiskeytown, Jason Isbell, Old 97's, Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, The Bottle Rockets, Blue Mountain. A lot of alternative country in there, a genre I've fallen in love with in the last year.

Have you listened to Chamberlain? The Moon My Saddle is one of the best albums I've ever heard, but it's grossly overlooked and mostly forgotten.

Really familiar with their greatest hits album History, but I've never looked into them beyond that. Can you recommend a certain album or two?

I actually wanted to ask you for recommendations haha. I've listened to their debut America only, it's very nice. It has this song which I guess makes an appearence in their greatest hits? Amazing song

I recently learned that the band was formed in England, but the members are sons of US servicemen. They chose this name to underline that they're actually american, and not random englishmen who tried to make that sound. I think you'll like the album.

Great song, and interesting backstory on the band name. Some other songs I really like by them are Sister Golden Hair, Ventura Highway, and Lonely People .. unfortunately each song comes from a different album so I really wouldn't know which album to start with either lol.

Another 2015 album I've listened to a decent amount is Twin Shadow - Eclipse. I loved his 2010 debut Forget and I still play it a ton to this day, but since then he's really changed his sound. The new album is pretty hit or miss for me. I'd say Flatliners, Turn Me Up, and Old Love / New Love are highlights.

An album I'm really looking forward is the new Of Monsters and Men album Beneath the Skin. It comes out June 9th. Their debut album was pretty much perfect, and the first single from the new album is very promising.

I haven't listened to much this year, but random jazz vinyls, some country, and mostly hip-hop.
