May 8, 2015 eminem's new music is his best work yet. it has been since like late 2009 and anyone who didn't believe the warning, forever and recovery were exactly that, a recovery, probably hasn't enjoyed anything he's released subsequently. which is unfortunate for them people will be (rightfully so) studying recovery and the second mathers lp for decades. nobody is going to give a f--- about young thug next year

May 9, 2015 Everyone acting like opiates are the only drug in existence. Yes, eminems pill addiction started around the 8 mile era. But dude has always been on drugs, whether it be speed, weed, alcohol. Of course he was high when he did his first three albums. Hes an addict. He just changed his drugs of choice. No one would be able to make an album high on pills. You would be slurring your words all over the place, just listen to difficult. Listen to the old westwood freestyle where the whole group is clearly f----- up. That mtv performance with dre where both of them are rolling balls. That story he told of coming up with the idea to bleach his hair when him and dre were high on extacy. That song these drugs where hes talking about how drugs are going to k--- him, track 13 on mmlp. Dude was a drug addict way before the pill addiction.
May 9, 2015 pretty sure he wasn't a full blown addict until the Encore era.I believe he mostly did them at concerts while preforming before Encore. i doubt he was high the time at home raising Hailie when she was little
May 9, 2015 yes, all his best came from being an overboard addict... let's see. and the list goes on... if anything, a majority of his production during this period was d--- near flawless. With the exception of My First Single... but lyrically he was pretty f---in garbage. if he tried putting that s--- out when dre found him, nobody would've looked at him twice
May 9, 2015 Thats not what the topic is about. Its about how drugs influenced his music and creativity. Not about when he became a full blown addict. Yes, he spiraled out of control during encore era. But he certainly was not sober making those first 3 albums. And what makes you think he wasnt high around hailey. Dude was taking morphine around her at one point. What makes you think he wasnt smoking weed and drinking among other things earlier in his career. Weed is a drug, and certainly one that stimulates the mind.
