Feels like having a significant cover for your body of work has lost it's meaning now most big releases (in Rap i'm not really talking for many other genres) have a Deluxe Itunes cover aswell as whats called the standard

In my opinion whatever the standard is should be cited as the original and i feel using any other cover could effect the record's appeal but thats just me

And who do you think is usually in charge of throwing out Deluxe covers as there not always the creative choice NWTS or Oxymoron came out like... as more of a collectors thing than a random representation of the record, this thought was brought on by the Lil Durk cover's and how extremely different in tone both are :jordan:
    (s/o S80 i think this forum dope as f---)

I agree. Especially when a lot of people judge a book by it's cover. but album art is important. It should represent what the album is about. I always like my albums to have good covers. If it's an artist I don't know, i'm more likely to listen to their album if the covers dope.

I think it should be part of what the album is about, sort of like a 'still' from a film. A "preview" I guess you could say.

Well your album cover better reflect what the album is going to be about. Imagine buying an album with like a garden on the cover, but the album is full of like Drill music.

I always enjoy good cover art, but it really isn't the focus of an album for me lol
I do think it's important for new fans though. Potential fans might see an album cover and go "not listening to that, it looks like garbage"

I feel like some artist's are just trying to hard to be random and weird with the covers by putting a women sipping tea in a café for there debut Trap tape

I honestly don't care about album covers/titles as long if the music is good. But you do make a good point. Welcome :daps:

Surprised people care that much about album covers. Especially because there's no need for CD's anymore. It is nice when an album has a nice cover but it certainly doesn't affect how much I like the music on the album

Depends on the artist to be honest, some album covers i personally like that others don't... Some artists have multiple covers because to them, some songs go better with the other cover. It's up to the consumers choice, in my opinion, on which to use.
