    Hmm.. Maybe a 5/10...

I don't think Eminem is as bad as everyone says, but he's also nowhere near the level he was at.

He's kind of just really boring and stale now. He's technically sound with his writing, his flow lacks the charisma and confidence it once had. He doesn't push the envelop creative-wise or boundary-wise either...

But, idk, he's not awful... He's just really average to me. He still rhymes real well, he has ups and downs with his one liners, but that's like most artists now.

Eminem from 99-03 was captivating and WAY more entertaining to listen to though. It's two totally different rappers. He's kind of just on auto-pilot...

I prefer this Eminem than Encore Eminem though. Encore Eminem was a 1/10.

Like many have said I think it changes with every song or verse. He's so hit or miss right now.. But the thing is he is always changing. He could drop an album tomorrow and there would be 3 or 4 songs where you just shake your head because he's as good as ever. But if I had to average out his recent work I'd put him at maybe a 5.5ish

If prime em is a 10 the only modern artist ranking Semi close is Kendrick at an 8 imo

You think his rhyme schemes have lead to better music? At most, people acknowledge that it's intricate but that it's pointless (like a lot of tracks on relapse)

And aside from relapse, you really think he has better production on recovery, mmlp2 etc vs his first projects?

    His beats yes.

    I would probably give him a 6/10.
Verses like the second half of GOF and songs like Groundhog Day and Brainless show that Eminem is still capable of making good music. What's so d--- frustrating is how often he makes bs music instead.

I would say 7/10. He isnt where he was but he still puts out music at a far superior level to most of what is being put out today, talking lyrically, not that he doesnt say cringeworthy things but its true.

Holy s---, can't belive these high ratings .. 5 and 8 all over the place.
Prime Eminem would litterally demolish current Eminem. His raw voice, on point delivering, 8-10/10 verses for the most parts and stunning flows. All which current Eminem lacks hard

he's sharpened up his flows and rhyme schemes, but his content has changed for the worse, and he sold out on production
it's like he's trying to appeal to white dads on purpose with those rock samples there

Recovery Eminem was a 5 at best. Terrible metaphors and punchlines all over the place and only had a screaming flow.
