I never said I expected another GKMC. What I meant was that it wasn't as good as GKMC imo.

I think TDE made a huge mistake to not start a tour just a couple weeks after TPAB drop.
J.Cole go on tour just after the release of FHD,so the album stay longer on top of the charts.
TDE released TPAB and then nothing, no tour and no announcement about Jay Rock's next album or the others members.
Everybody was very exciting before TPAB drop, when it drop people listen it, enjoy it and then " Ok classic. So who's next ? "

You said TPAB was a flop because it didn't have the overall feeling GKMC had. This album wasn't made to be another GKMC and just based off the rumors of Kendrick working with Thunder Cat way before the album was even announced, you knew this was going to be something different.

As for TPAB not being as good, there's arguments that can be made for both albums. I think GKMC is the more approachable/easier to listen too project but TPAB is more consistent throughout. TPAB doesn't have a Compton.

Nah. I just don't think its been as big. When it came out it was huge but buzz has sorta died down. If he went on a world tour it would have stayed big. but that doesn't mean it's a flop. Just not as big. I agree maybe GKMC may be more approachable. But I don't think ones better than the other. Just two entirely different beasts. And d--- are they beasts.

f--- the sales, only reason why I wouldve wanted it to be a mainstream hit would be to shut this chick up at work talking about how "drizzy's on diff level than all these other new rappers".

otherwise, as dude said...still a classic regardless. still love the album from top to bottom.

I don't care how it went commercially. Brilliant album. He actually cares about his music and his listeners.

    GKMC >>>>> TPAB.

After re-listening to both, TPAB has poor replay value compared to GKMC.

He should've gone for that PYREX swag...

Sales wise GKMC did less first week because he was nowhere near as known as the album did the run he gaines loads of fans because of how good the album was and it rwached out commercially. With this it started better because he is more popular now but the album run is nowhere near as good as the album is prertt boring after a while and dont have many great songs with replay value
