    i'd pick jay electronica, too. i got on stage with him in maryland :)

    but i don't feel like there's some large margin between him and j.cole

    i don't get why cole is viewed as a bad artist on here :jordan:

    Jay elec is real talk the best lyricist in rap by far. Some of the s--- i seen his stans dissect is unreal :whew:

    Listen to this song, It gives a pretty good idea of the type of lyricist they each are. You can judge for yourself who is the better lyricist.

    This was released earlier in the year. He's still got it but like it's been said, he needs to get on his job if he wants to be considered a power player in the game. I've read that he was going through some personal stuff and stepped away from music for a while. I agree that he's the most talented lyricist in the new school but he needs more reps to gain the notoriety.
