MGk, is one of those artists that I love and hate. He is too self-centered and too cocky. Some songs I really like such as breaking news, sail, dark side of the moon, the return and her song. Otherwise he is just an average person.

He's nothing more than a rapper. That's all he does, he spits and gets his check. There's no real artistry in his music as compared to other rappers that came out when he did. Most of the other ones have moved on and evolved as musicians. He's stayed stuck doing the same s--- he's been doing for years. Pick X beat and rhyme potentially the same topics over it. He's nothing new or special, kinda gimmicky.

MGK hasn't evolved into any unique type of artist. He's still doing the same stuff he did on his last album.

This song sounds exactly like this song

They both share similar topics, pop-orineted hooks and production. Absolutely nothing original. If anything, he's been dumbing down his content recently and turned into a bigger gimmick. It honestly comes down to preference, and if you like his music, by all means go ahead and enjoy it. But to me his music sounds really uninspired (not in terms of lyrics, more as his overall sound and direction) and I'm pretty sure heard other musicians cover these same topics, and executed them far better.

I'm pretty sure you confused what the post you quoted was attempting to say. He was basically stating he was a poor man's Yelawolf. Your point is pretty much non-sensible anyhow, since J Cole is one of hip hop's biggest selling and coveted artists at the moment, can't possibly be B- grade. I don't know the type of music you enjoy, but Yelawolf just released a great and creative project that's going over a lot of people's heads. He doesn't have the fame or commercial appeal, but he's far from a D-grade artist. I do agree however, that MGK is far down there for sure.

See this is where you misunderstand again. You still avoided the original point presented, which was that MGK was a poor man's Yelawolf, and took everything out of context.

First of all, your Iggy comment was pretty misguided since her album barely reached gold. J Cole's last album is already platinum and was released far later.
If you seriously think J Cole is B-grade just based on quality, and then have the nerve to Yelawolf is D-grade. then your rating system is completely and utterly f-----.
