Jun 22, 2015 Your'e talking about human like there were robots. d--- i hate so much that kind of dumb philosophy and the kind of guys like you who think they are intelligent because they use words like "dichotomy" "presupposition" "transcends" and "ineffable" in the same sentence. Oh and f--- you for saying that i'm naive just because i'm against the concept of immortality
Jun 22, 2015 I dunno I mean 3000 years ago they were like just starting to crawl out of the stone age but were still really r-----ed. I guess it'd be easy to manipulate my way to being king of the world and rewrite history. that's if the rock heads don't crucify me or something
Jun 22, 2015 yeah you gotta go back but you gotta keep that future knowledge and you gotta keep that a secret or they'll probably cut off your head which is the only way you could ever really k--- an immortal.
Jun 22, 2015 This is off topic but f--- it: it doesn't matter what words i use, my assertion is the same regardless. Language, no matter the medium, will never give you an accurate summation of "reality". There are layers to all this. "Reality" is a f---ing concept in your head and nothing more. "Human" is a concept in you head and nothing more. Our entire conception of society, identity, philosophy, science, religion, etc. are all concepts in your head. Don't confuse language with the context in which language is used. Everything we think we know is contextualized by the unknown. And it always will be. How language works is that we abstract our mysterious experience into reified forms of syntax into a structured grammar; this grammar is the loop of information exchange between 'i' and 'other'. From this point, a convention emerges based on this grammar which sets the context for reified forms of syntax, giving rise to definition. Suddenly, we then have the opportunity to create society, for example. Every single thought you can conceive of is subject to this grammar. Your knowledge is only contextually relevant, making it completely useless in an effort to understand what we're calling "reality". This mystery we have found ourselves in is not context dependent; it sets the standard by which a context is crafted. SO in short, to place any value on immortality is hubris. How do you really know your not immortal to begin with? Have you confused YOU with your body? Notice the grammar. There is a reason why we say your body. Who is the "you" that is in the "body"? I'm afraid the answer to that question is outside the dualistic, linear, and pathetic scope of linguistics.
Jun 22, 2015 And so what? Aren't the "concepts" in our heads the real meaning of our existence? How am i naive, because i believe in it? Isn't the main particularity of human the fact that we can "think"? So, in you words, the fact that we can create "concepts in our heads". Plus, imo, you can't say that my body "confuse" me, because I AM MY BODY. Body and spirit can't be dissociate bruh. By the way sorry m8, i just notice that my last message was a bit rude, i just want to debate so no offense
Jun 22, 2015 there is an understanding that extends further than any fact or belief because the understanding is grounded outside of language. And i mean no disrespect in calling you naive, we are all naive in some context. My main assertion is that words cannot capture the entirety of this experience by any means. Can you tell me what the texture of your language is? Can you tell me what the texture of our symbolic universe is? The answer is no because none of it actually exists, its all little concepts in our heads. Thinking is merely a strategy used to navigate the waters of this mystery, and the mystery is synonymous with the self. The "meaning of our existence" is only contextually relevant too. Outside of the context lies the mystery, which sets the standard by which we measure our meanings and purposes and identities, etc. Also, you not just your body. The body is a vehicle used to navigate three dimensionality. You are the driver of that vehicle. You must maintain the vehicle similar to how you must maintain a car. When the vehicle breaks down, you merely step out the vehicle (what we refer to as "death") back into the space you were already in to begin with. We are not just humans. We are us. And that is the beginning of the mystery constantly unraveling itself before us.
Jun 22, 2015 I would warn Jesus about Judas and then we'd rule the world together. By this point I've been around for nearly 1000 years and I'd have a lot of knowledge for Jesus to think on I'd get his opinion on condoms and gay marriage, he'd respond in aramaic and not understand my questions. I'd also invent guns early to see what happens
Jun 23, 2015 I would definitely, definitely take it. f--- living such short lives, I've literally got all the time in the world to do whatever I want and ain't nobody to stop me.
Jun 23, 2015 he goes back that far he could make being gay 100% acceptable a decrease the population in doing so and change the world in its entirety
