Recovery ear did give us Airplanes part 2 verse which to me is one of his best verses since TES. The passion. The energy. That FLOW. If we had a whole album of that it would be amazing.

Enjoy listening to Lighters, Won't Back Down, Love the way you Lie, I'm On Everything, Not Afraid, No Love, 25 To Life, and the rest of that filler crap. (2010-2011) And I'll listen to Brainless, Bad Guy, Rap God, Evil Twin, Legacy, Groundhog Day, Don't Front, Our House etc (2012-2013). It's all good bruh.

Decent album that doesn't have very much replay value at all.

So you list a bunch of terrible songs from the Recovery period and then compare them to the "best" from MMLP2. That's fair.

Forever, The Warning, Drop The World, Airplanes 2, Talking To Myself, Going Through Changes, Seduction, INAD.... All of those are light years better than the garbage you posted.

But 5 out of the 8 tracks you listed didn't even appear on an Eminem/Shady album. If we're talking strictly features, then yeah I agree, Late 2009-Early 2010 Eminem s----s on anyone. (especially since his features have been absolute garbage since then) It's just a shame that the great features didn't translate to a great album. If Recovery had more songs/verses like The Warning, Airplanes 2, Drop the World, Forever, INAD then maybe I could consider it a great album. But for every great song on the album...you have three times the amount of s--- songs on the album. Talking 2 Myself and GTC are sandwiched between WTP, Won't Back Down, and On Fire, for example.

When mmlp2 came out I thought that was 100% better. But as time went on mmlp2 has much less replay value. There's still some suit songs on recovery tho, and the highs on mmlp2 are higher (bad guy, rap god, etc) but recovery has more replay able songs (space bound, seduction, gtc, cwb, etc) overall I'd give it like a 7.5 and mmlp2 like a 7.

What I don't get is that people say the MMLP 2 has better tracks but its forgettable

Surely if something is good it's not really forgettable

I can go back and listen to Recovery to this day and enjoy it And I think the reason why is that it has storytelling, depth and a concept which continues to make it compelling (minus a few tracks)

    It's been 5 years already? f--- me.

But more on topic, very little replay value. Get this tho: I listened to WTP and actually somewhat enjoyed it. Lmao.

I think it is fair to talk about Eminem's "return" or his "post hiatus" work, but comeback is a little strong for someone who has been bad since he started making music again
