Mar 18, 2016 He doesn't. His beats allow him to be all over the radio or to make club bangers, but his production is never top notch
Mar 18, 2016 Beat selection is just another way of saying "has ears and access to great producers" That distinction goes to Rick Ross tho
Mar 18, 2016 @Tenski Why did you delete that? Yes that's what beat selection is but it's hugely important. Rick Ross had a very successful career partly due to his excellent ear for beats. It can make or break artists. Some artists have access to the best producers in the world but still choose wack beats.
Mar 18, 2016 Meh... right now I like kendrick a lot more than drake and I don't want them to collaborate, it would sound forced.
Mar 18, 2016 @Flacko Phone tripping it showed as double post for some reason, deleted one then both got deleted, it's whatever @Jet✞ got me That's valid, but I just don't put that much stake in beat selection for a rapper who's not making beats themselves, especially because it's subjective for the most part; a beat that sounds good to you sounds bad to someone else.
Mar 18, 2016 Choosing beats is integral. It is a skill in itself. Obviously the producer should get the credit but it shouldn't be discounted. Of course it's subjective. But the general consensus can agree on good beats vs bad beats.
Mar 18, 2016 I wouldn't mind a Kendrick feature on Views as long as he doesn't do those stupid voices. Something like the Buried Alive interlude would be great. I won't be upset if he's not on the final cut though. It seems unlikely It's a shame.
Mar 18, 2016 Kendrick can still do a non cancer voice, look at the second part of untitled 2, his monotone flow there was reminding me of gkmc, if he did that fir the rest of the ep it wouldnt have been so trash
Mar 18, 2016 "If a flower bloomed in a dark room would u trust it?" Is my favourite kendrick line oat
