No. They weren't. ...I loved that show, but this is the one misconception that makes me angry whenever k hear it cuz it totally takes away from what actually happened, and only the most degenerate viewers interpreted it this way and then wide spread the notion to others (tell your friends I'm disappointed in them). Jack's father flat out said that they weren't dead the entire time in their final exchange, to help the audience throw away that thought, but somehow it went over people's heads. Finale was GOAT.

Feb 10, 2016 Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo was the funniest anime I saw as a kid and still is to this day. The ending really betrayed me as it never ended, the heroes finally make it to the big villain and the show makes you think it will go on but they end it no resolution to the story. I'm still mad to this day just because of this episode.
Feb 10, 2016 OMG Dexter /thread. No competition. ...guy suddenly decides to k--- his sister, abandon his son, and to attempt suicide..fails at suicide and becomes a lumberjack. Goes against absolutely everything he's stood for the entire show. What in the actual f---.
Feb 10, 2016 Since I see HIMYM brought up, can someone sum up the ending of the show for me? I stopped watching around season 5 and planned to start back but never really cared enough to do so. I was never that s----d into the story, just thought it was a funny show. Guess I might as well find out how it ended.
Feb 10, 2016 Spoiler We met the mother in the last season, then in the last episode she dies, about 6 years later he Ted falls in love with Robin again, proposes her a date in the same fashion he did in the very first episode. Also, lost was amazing!

Feb 10, 2016 It's probably because I don't hate the ending anywhere near as much as others, that it doesn't sound bad. Spoiler A strong majority of the show was about Ted and Robin. To me it felt like the mother was a side story, obviously people felt differently because they felt strongly towards the mother.
Feb 10, 2016 Easily FROM THE PILOT, all we cared about was what will happen once Dexter gets caught. The only danger he faces in the finale is letting f---ing Hannah McKay sleep at his house.
