look, there are plenty of people with mental illnesses who don’t have the money, influence, and enablers kanye has. plenty of people with mental illnesses who don’t have such harebrained ideas about the world. but to suggest that this is calculated and not a guy in serious psychological turmoil is obviously, obviously false. this isn’t up for debate, kanye has been suffering serious psychological problems, it’s simply a fact.

This is all anecdotal and I am obviously not a mental health expert just an expert with my Mother's situation and what I learned last year from providers. Kanye's grandiose for sure(a big part of mania) but delusional? Nah. My mother had always been grandiose but last year was seeing messages from airplane chem trails and thought streetlights were space stations. She also was in contact with Obama all of last year and part of the Mueller investigation lol. I haven't quite heard anything like that from Kanye yet.


But as far as Kanye wanting help it will not happen. If he's truly that crazy then 1.) He isn't going to admit/know it and 2.) Most crazy people are addicted to their mental illness. They enjoy being manic and the thrill that comes with it. Kanye's obviously not a regular person so maybe somebody will intervene sooner but yeah people have to come VERY close to self harm or hurting somebody else before anybody do anything. Again- f--- our mental health system.

you repeating something doesn't make it correct. For one, we have no idea if Kanye has or hasn't physically hurt anyone. But secondly, and more to the point, whether or not you've physically hurt someone is NOT the only measure of mental illness lol, wtf are you talking about?

I'm kind of conflicted here. On one hand my Mother suffers from BP among a handful of other things and spent almost all of last year in a mania fueled psychosis. You are right in that it almost killed her. You are right that the toll true mania and psychosis takes on a person physically can k--- them. I don't think Kanye has been mentally ill and untreated for 4 years. It's not possible. Could he be going on and off meds? Sure. As far as how he's behaving some of it reminds me of my Mother but I would think he'd be a LOT more delusional. The caveat would be that this is just the beginning and it's about to be a lot worse but this has been going on for some time, so...


What I will say is it's really ignorant for people to be asking "Why don't his family/friends get him help?" I am sure they are trying but our mental health system is a joke and because of privacy laws it's d--- near impossible. Somebody would need to go after his legal guardianship, have him committed, take him to court AND THEN pray the judge rules for court ordered meds. Other than that? Good luck. Our system protects mentally ill people to the point that it hurts them.

if you know anything about manic episodes and psychosis its plainly obvious what he is going through

maybe he drops albums around this time because his manic episodes put him in that mindset. saying this is just album promo is such a narrowminded worldview.

theres a clear correlation between his declining mental health state, crazy rollouts, and poor judgement (musically and personally).

he wasn't doing any of this s--- till The Life of Pablo when he had breakdowns on tour, was addicted to opiates (which probably triggered a psychosis when combined with his bipolar) and clearly started declining.

Ironically, faking a mental illness for album promo is behaviour considered that of someone with serious mental issues anyway — he’s definitely not faking it.

If you consider yourself a real Kanye fan—music or as a person—you should be praying that he gets the help he needs rather than wanting new music. He needs to go under the radar & seek some serious help; I feel sorry for him. Having a mental breakdown to millions worldwide isn’t album promo, nor is it funny.

@Koolo, highly doubt kanye is lying or acting. i think the grey area is what combination of whats going on is genuine mental illness, raging untethered celebrity ego, or drugs. makes it all that more depraved imo, especially when u consider what his handlers are feeding him, or allowing him to do. pretty sick.... dont think its unreasonable to question how this is being orchestrated, IMO he's been totally co-opted, but seeing kanyes eyes during those clips its clear the guy is offfffffffffffff

I'm not a moron. I know first hand what this looks like. Since The Life of Pablo and his freakouts on stage hes become more and more markedly ill. He needs help. Just because he's a celbrity doesn't mean this is a stunt. He's been diagnosed with bipolar since he was a kid. The signs are all there, do some research and learn about mental health bro.
