Mar 25, 2017 This thread really blew up, comparing popularity I think 50 and lil'wayne are people you should be comparing drake to. Looking back at it, eminem's numbers are f---ing ridiculous. Being white obviously helped but none of the white rappers now are as popular as FUTURE ( macklemore? logic?) maybe people are used to seeing a white rapper.

Mar 25, 2017 I can confidently say in Nigeria( which is the most populous in africa) Eminem is more popular. Eminem was trending at the time of the rumored beef with drake and drake was SERIOUSLY clowned lol. Drake's popularity increased here when he jumped on the remix of a Nigerian song and also featured the same artist on 'one dance'. 'More life' is not really getting airplay here tho. Eminem sold out a stadium in south africa( I've forgotten the tour, was it rapture?). That said most Nigerians prefer their indigenous music 'cause it's full of rythm.

Also you mentioned eminem only had Cd and radio to worry about, which isn't true eminem was around a bunch of great artists, and I'm not just talking rappers. What comp does drake have future, big Sean, Kendrick, Ross, etc mean while eminem had jay, Dmx, nas, Kanye west, and a lot more heavy hitters
