Oct 20, 2015 you're stuff is all neat and organized/labeled looking and im just sitting here like this lmao
Oct 20, 2015 a few months after i started producing i tried to organize when i worked and eventually i just couldn't anymore, s--- just got too complicated and too much of a chore for me. my production is too sporadic/chaotic/random etc. for that s---
Oct 20, 2015 Lol well if it works for you it works for you fam. I'm a fan of layering. And of course labeling lmao. I used to lose samples all the time and s---
Oct 20, 2015 yeaaaaaaaaaaaah that's probably a big part of the reason i absolutely cannot have overlapping s--- and i found automations got in the way of my organizing a lot of the time so i was like god d--- i can't do this anymore lol and just stopped
Oct 20, 2015 Lol I dabble in it. Usually for fade outs/outros and differentiating between a chours and a verse section Dealing with overlaps too
Oct 20, 2015 being original only i have like 50 billion things to automate out and in, and cutoffs for vsts and s--- left and right, panning etc. it's a pain in my a--- and I use to avoid it but i realized s--- would sound better the more effort i put into it like that, even on just the simple s---
Oct 20, 2015 I feel you. My automations are almost always for vst cutoffs. Lord knows I hate those lingering notes.
Oct 21, 2015 i like this i the bass almost seems like there's too much reverb or delay on something.. like there's a muddy leftover in the mix tho it may just me and/or my headphones atm
Oct 21, 2015 There's a little reverb on the snares. I think only 10% wet signal And yeah that's probably the baseline I notched it up about 4dB at the last second to give it a little more presence then noticed that the sample has a baseline notes in it haha And I put high cut EQs on the kicks to give it that boom that I like, not too much usually just a little bit. But I use a sub bass vst and feed it through an amp plug in so it doesn't swallow everything up.
