    I could see maybe Doom and Wolfenstein going exclusive, maybe even Fallout at a push, but there’s absolutely no universe in which Elder Scrolls 6 doesn’t come to every platform in existence

    Pre-ordered PS5, the standard one with the disc drive. Gonna assume nobody here has pre-ordered the Xbox because pre-orders don't open until the 22nd.

    "Estimated retail price". Which means they'll drop it to 449 if Sony choose to undercut them.

    I do like the pay monthly price point though.

    I'm still committed to getting the PS5, there's no doubt about that. But gotta admire Microsoft's hustle.

    On a side note, the Series S is soooo ugly.

    I was apprehensive about buying any next-gen console within the first year, but opening with Spider-Man, Gran Turismo, and Ratchet & Clank sold me a PS5 at launch

    i understand your pov but the PS3 controller last so much longer that you didnt have to waste a thought about playing 2 hours with loosing the battery

    Looking at the other photos Sony posted, it looks like the new controller is gonna use USB-C. This is big news for me. No clue if Sony already made that announcement or not but if that’s true, I’m so glad they’re moving away from the micro usb bs. I hate having different chargers for different devices. Now my switch and pro controller, PS5 controller, and both of my laptops will all use usb c. Hopefully Apple gets on board with usb c as the standard charging port for their phones.

    Here’s the official announcement for anyone curious. They don’t reveal too much about its specs. I’m guessing not much has really changed underneath the hood. Hopefully the battery lasts much longer than the PS4 controller.

    TLOU is just too bland for me. TLOU2 looks great though, but I need to see it in action after it comes out. I prefered God of War 3 over the new one.

    I prefer RPGs mostly. As far as action games go I like Arkham series. Other games off the top of my head: Hitman series, any multiplayer FPS, id software singeplayer FPSes, Max Payne series, Metro series, GTA, RDR, LA Noire, Hearts of Iron. I hate Assasin's Creed series since AC Revelations, but I like to play them from time to time, because they have nice vistas to look at.
    Yeah, FC3 was the last great FC. I agree with you on that. Mostly Ubisoft games are the biggest offenders of open world games tropes. As for Fallout 4 I had high hopes for it after Obsidian's New Vegas and bought it day one. I played it for like 120 hours and gave up, because it is such misguided Fallout (I wouldn't even call it Fallout tbh).

    Walking simulators are games with limited player input and interactivity. Most of the time they focus on showcasing graphics and setpieces.

    I heard Days Gone was mediocre but I've been tempted cuz it takes place in the PNW where I grew up and I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic s---. Based on the games you listed it seems like we have similar taste, so you think it's worth it? What changed after the update?

    @Guma I do agree with you that there's a problem this generation in making games open world that don't need to be open world. Like Far Cry 4/5 are some of the biggest offenders imo. Far Cry 3 was great cuz the plot was pretty linear but you had a certain amount of freedom as you went to your next objective and captured bases and stuff on the way. Far Cry 5 is just you wandering around doing random plot points out of order and it makes no sense lol.

    And Fallout 4 was def disappointing. They dumbed it down so much from the previous games.

    Also what is a walking simulator?
