Mar 3, 2018anyway @Jayson Tatum i don't wanna derail this further than we already have; i don't think someone's music taste is a reflection of his or her personality or character or whatever and i'm not trying to infringe on your right to listen to g-eazy. i'm just clowning you for doing so on a rap message board, because that's...what message boards always have been and always will be for. this website is quickly becoming a cesspool of weird neo-nazi preteens, which is what's driving most of us who have been on this board's predecessors for years away from it. i promise you me snapping at people for posting g-eazy songs is not the problem here. pm me if you wanna talk more.

This s--- is making me nostalgic, I used to listen to a bunch of Keak da Sneak, Mistah FAB, Andre Nickatina, and Brotha Lynch in the mid-2000s, but I never really remember listening to full projects by them aside from maybe Conversation With a Devil by nickatina. I'll post some singles when I get to my computer.Isaak, Sav Stanfield, Ordinary Joel and 1 other person like this. - May 2, 2025

Tagging @Enigma who is our resident Bay Area expert
I've only heard a few stuff like Mac Dre (still haven't combed through everything), RBL Posse, Souls Of Mischief, Del The Funky Homosapien (his later stuff isn't as traditional Oakland albeit) heck even 2Pac always had heavy Bay influences.Ordinary Joel, Groovy Tony, Sav Stanfield and 1 other person like this. -

i don't know who you are and i'm alarmed you have this many feelings about me. but...
i am literally zero percent bothered by someone who "doesn't like exactly" what i like. you, on the other hand are losing your mind over it.

And yes you are constantly a self righteous c---- so I felt I should address it in pm.
And if you think an Internet forum is any indication of social behavior in person, it’s clear you don’t spend much time outside of the internet.
You always get so pissy when someone has an opinion you don’t agree with. Guess what, I’m allowed to like G Eazy, nothing wrong with that, plenty of people enjoy his music. I never said he was a great rapper or anything close to that.
People have different tastes in music, and if you spent more time outside and less whitesplaining black culture on twitter in between irrelevant hockey opinions, maybe you’d understand that.
Like, opinions are subjective, so stop trying to shame me for enjoying music. I’m not forcing g Eazy down anybody’s throats, I don’t care if anyone else likes him, I’m discussing music on a f---ing music forum.
You get so uptight when someone doesn’t like exactly what you like, which really takes the fun out of music. Guess what, people like plenty of different artists, and no ones musical preferences are the same.
So maybe stop being the self righteous c---- who posts “god will you shut up” and just discuss music normally for once. I mean you act like your opinion weighs more because you’re a s-----y beat writer for a few publications so maybe start putting that “talent” to use instead of being the douchebag who picks fights all the time.
You are literally one of the worst members of the community. Yes you can provide engaging content occasionally, but you constantly s---t down others who don’t ride your d-ck and shut down discussion.
The forum would be so much more stale if everyone confirmed to a sole opinion, yet posts like yours completely push the forum in this direction.
This forum can’t live on people saying “nice article” and “I agree”. So move on and stop harping up on someone else’s opinion. The only person whining here is you.Caine, Ordinary Joel and Michael Myers like this. -

Honestly, if people bothered to listen to E-40, they would be blown away. Skip all the old school junk, his past 9 albums have been the bomb. Here's the list: My Ghetto Report Card, The Ball Street Journal, Revenue Retrievingay Shift, Revenure Retrieving:Night Shift, Revenue Retrieven: Overtime Shift, Revenue Retrieving: Graveyard Shift, and the Block Brochure (parts 1, 2, and 3). His best songs:Gunz, My S*** b---, Alcoholism, The Streets don't love nobody, tell me when to go, muscle cars, slow it down, 40 water, I'm on one, slow it down... The list goes on and on. He should be considered as the greatest rapper alive and its a crime that he isn't.Groovy Tony, Ordinary Joel and Sav Stanfield like this. -
