Nov 29, 2014 It is better than blueprint. ill give you that. BP is overrated just like MBDTF is. Blueprint is Jay's charismatic best but RD has always been better. RD is better than MBDTF. There are tons of random albums that are better than MBDTF. Very overrated album, although its great but it's also very very overrated, especially if you wanna compare it to illmatic which is blasphemy. f--- that s---. It's nowhere near Illmatic if you are talking about a fluid listening experience. There's a few times recently where I have tried to listen to MBDTF and i always end up turning it off and just skipping to the tracks that I know I like.

Nov 29, 2014 I asked myself what it would be if i have skipped AOTL or Blame Game and I literally cannot imagine listening to this album and not hearing everything from start to finish.
Nov 29, 2014 your reading comprehension sucks i said recently i tried listening and i cringe all the way through, it's way overrated. there are a few tracks that i hold in high regard but that doesn't make it the GOAT album or anything, it makes it a great album.

Nov 29, 2014 Because there are undoubtedly some great songs on there, like So Appalled, Runaway, h--- of A Life, and Devil In A New Dress but the majority of the album isnt for me and i cringe throughout most of it doesn't make the album non great because the music itself is very well put together and the production is great on every song but it's hardly "ATG, GOAT" s---. in my opinion its not even close to the Illmatics of the world or the Black Trash's of the world or the Liquid Swords of the world or the Illadelph Halflifes of the world
Nov 29, 2014 I don`t know about 'best', but if I compare this to Illmatic I would pick this. Some people call Illmatic boring, and while I don't agree with it at all, I do agree that some songs sound very similar. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, as long as it sounds good, but the main reason I like MBDTF so much (beside the fact that it's great) is that it has so many different types of music. No song sounds like another, there is so much diversity on there. But in the end, it all sounds so amazing together. If I would compare it to other albums song by song, I'm almost sure it will not be my number 1 because there are a few songs I don't even like that much. But right now I can't think of any album I would prefer over this (from start to finish).
Nov 29, 2014 That's where me and you are different. If I were you and only listened to the tracks you gave then the album would drop down a notch for me. The production of the tracks may be great and the way it's put together but if I listen to, say, 5/20 tracks that doesn't really make the album great for me.
