Jan 22, 2015 I always find it kind of annoying when people seem to act like not being on a label or having commercial success automatically makes them a better rapper (yes, yes, I know it is ironic that I would say this with the username Immortal Technique) yes, labels and label politics, the need for radio success to sell enough albums to justify production and marketing expenses, etc. can have a corrosive impact on the quality of the music. but it isn't true all of the time, and an artist or an album isn't bad simply because it is released under a label or gains commercial success. I love RA, but get annoyed at songs where the message is, essentially, labels=bad, me=good because I am underground. a lot of underground music is s---, and a lot of commercial music is very good. it is a lazy message to try and justify a specific set of choices/circumstances the artist has made. in many ways this is just the other side of the coin to "my album is good because it sold X copies"
Jan 22, 2015 Song is almost 2 years old, what is he Rammstein, releasing singles from albums this late
Jan 22, 2015 Τhis chapter always bothers me.. But as I think of it, some rappers may don't agree with the demants of record labels so they rather do it their way.. Notice that I generally don't agree with the ''labels=bad'' stereotype
