Besides the odd voice and his unique sense of melody, he lacks depth. The oddness and interest I have for him as a person does not show in his music.

Personally not really a fan of most of the production he's on either (especially Barter 6, which just features boring "dark" trap beats) unless we get into more weird/experimental territory like his work with Travi$ Scott or tracks like "Ew Ew Ew."

But, I get the appeal, though.

He has over 300 tracks under his belt, do you believe youre well versed in them to say he has "no depth?"

But @Narsh does someone have to be "well versed" in 300 songs to not get the gist of the artist/music?

I'm not well versed on the 300+ tracks, but I know enough that saying he lacks "depth" is a shallow argument. That's the only point in trying to make

You can't be like Luke or other people and listening to him with such bias that you can't even differentiate hook from verse and then think you have some sort of grasp on him as an artist

Let's see, I'm going to listen to the ENTIRE DISCOGRAPHY of an artist I already don't really care for to form that opinion. From what I saw on Barter 6 and other stuff, he's heavily reliant on his production, which just doesn't do anything for me as I'm not a big trap guy (exceptions being Migos and Travi$ Scott if he counts). I just don't give a s--- about anything he's saying for the most part.

Also, we're really gonna do this again like the Wolves thread? My points have been explained to the best of my ability.

He was going to call his album Carter 6 without the blessing of Wayne (which is why it was called Barter 6).

And considering how mediocre Barter 6 was, if he's trying to follow up Wayne's series he's already failing.
