Radeem I listen to people smarter than me

    May 7, 2015
The same thing happened to me when I was 16 and listened to Take Care for the first time. I was influenced by all the people who were criticizing Drake for being soft and gay etc. I didn't even try to leave all the prejudices behind and listen to the album with a clear mind. Despite multiple listens, I couldn't find anything remarkable other than Lord Knows (because of Just Blaze a.k.a the guy who produced No Love - the greatest Eminem track ever). After that, I decided to delete this album off my computer and come back to listening to Recovery. During the next year I had been carefully following posts made by much smarter users than me and you know what? it helped me with being more open minded and finally I noticed that Drake isn't a talentless piece of s--- who ruins hip-hop with his singing. Maybe you should do the same.

I've given it enough chances, I might come back to it one day. Narsh isn't much smarter than anyone here, can't take advices from someone who I can't take seriously and is a hardcore stan, because you know straight away what they want you to think. This guy has not even a one bad thing to say about this album, I mean come on.

That's all I got to say, no point continuing this.

according to Fullspeed, amidst all the unsubstantiated Thug hate Im trying to engage, I should not only focus on rebutting them but also make sure to present everything I hate about Thug/his projects as well.

    gr8 logic

I remember the last time I defended how good an artist was by listing all their faults, thanks!

i want music with real content, not violence or drug talk. songs about struggle or living life or something positive. Kendrick's & J. Cole's albums are something i'd look forward to these days, that doesn't mean i won't listen to hardcore hip hop, it's just that i don't relate to that stuff at all.

I don't like YT as much as the next guy, but please do not list J.Cole as "real content". Most of his content is about b------s, hoes who ain't love him before and now do or how he tried to bag em.

And he got a h--- of a lot songs touching the subject matter that I mentioned before. Even in most of his struggle/"tryna make it" songs he at some point ends up talking about b------s/hoes. As much as he tries to be concerning towards issues and a rapper with real content, he sure gives women a poor treatment in his raps.

And I have no issues with Cole's music. I enjoy it as a matter of fact. But I would never make the point of him being a rapper with very much content.

he's probably got more songs about the struggle & his come up than club bangers and meaningless s---. even his first mixtapes touch on these subjects.
