Jun 20, 2015 My father would always watch it (he loves those types of films) so I guess after being forced to sit through it many times back in the day the more I watched the more I liked it. Whenever it's on TV it's an instant watch for me

Jun 20, 2015 Slumdog is such Oscar bait lol, I liked it a lot when it came out but I thought the same back then too I was also more critical of it cause of the Bollywood roots and how much crazy praise it was getting. Overrated film for sure. How? So much of it suffers from what all overly sentimental Bollywood films suffer from It just had a little more tact, I guess, in parts. And I get how the flashbacks etc can help you feel invested in the film but masterpiece? Maybe I need to watch it again lel
